TalkBack / RE:Castlevania DS Revealed

A map... A GODDAMN MAP?! HOW F***KING ORIGINAL!

Talk about lazy. They couldn't even think up a good use of the touch screen or the dual screens... *sighs*

General Gaming / RE:GC technical problems in comparison to other systems.
« on: December 14, 2004, 01:35:32 PM »
In my years of owning the Gamecube (I've had it since it came out), I've had a single error. That was with Metroid Prime, and it happened once a few months ago, and hasn't happened since. My friend however, he's had a PS2 the same amount of time I've had my Gamecube. His first one was having problems, getting disk read errors and such, and then it wound up getting knocked over and broke entirely. He got a new one, and recently, it's started having disk read bullshits. Some games won't load at all, and some will load after a few resets, then get random DREs in the middle of playing.

No matter what anyone says, the next Microsoft system release date is officially 2006, the same as the other two. Besides, it sounds like you've made up your mind already, go for it.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:does innovative mean wreckless design?
« on: December 14, 2004, 01:25:01 PM »
WHY DOESN'T ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO SPELL "RECKLESS"?!?!?! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

*runs around in circles, falls, dies, comes back to life*

Anyway, yeah, you've got a point. Every game doesn't need to use every feature. The fact that the features exist at all is a good sign.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Gameboy DS

The way I figure it is that the DS is indeed a third pillar, and they're probably working on the next generation Gameboy right now. If I'm right, it will probably have one screen like always, and will be capable of Gamecube-like graphics. Sort of on the lines of the PSP. Of course, this is just me and my speculation.

Those are all sequels. Every last one of them. Aren't there any original games you want?

To Juno:

You realize you're an idiot, right? The world will explode before Miyamoto will ever let them put blood in a Zelda game.

EB sucks. They're unreliable, and rude. Just stick with Gamestop, and all those other companies that are tied in with them.

The screen is the same size, and there would be no point in having two screens show the same thing...

Other than maybe better resolution and sound there isnt anything very obvious they can do.  Im sure Nintendo can come up with something, even if its something simple like the second screen can be used to take notes while you play or display the time or something like that (like how long you have been playing or something).  Anyone have any ideas?

The GBC didn't turn regular GB games to color.

I've just added you to the list of people I'm going to smack as soon as I invent a way to do it through the Internet. It's called a pentagram or a pentacle. It means a bunch of different things. It represents the elements, The Goddess, it's a symbol for protection, etc. Unless it's flipped upside down. At which point it becomes some stupid angsty teenager's way of 'expressing himself'.

I was actually thinking more along the lines of having Captain Olimar playable. Down-B would pull out a pikmin you could throw or use as a weapon, and regular B would blow his whistle, and do some sort of damage.  Of course, that's just me.

Yeah, I'd buy, but I can't see any of those companies reaching any kind of agreement about how to split profits.

You make me cry. You realize the only characters that they'll put in it will be first party, right?

One game needs to be remade for me to be eternally happy: Ogre Battle. Not Ogre Battle 64, not Tactics Ogre, but the original Ogre Battle for SNES...

I love that game so much. They need to remake it with better graphics, and it would kick ass...

General Gaming / RE:Theory about $129 X-Box
« on: May 19, 2004, 02:49:42 PM »
Well, the PS2 is officially 149 dollars now. I can't see the X-Box going any lower than that, they'd lose so much money on each system sold that it's not even funny. I mean, they're already losing money now, so why make it worse?

They already anounced that the screens would be top and bottom, not side by side. That negates the VR theory.

DEAR GODDESS WHY!?!?!?!?!? My two cents. Maybe it won't suck. It probably will. The end.

While I'm on the subject of Capcom games, I was thinking about King Arthur from Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts. Remember, it's not the same guy that's in Maximo, so it's still Nintendo exclusive.

Nintendo Gaming / What characters would you like to see in the next SSB?
« on: January 25, 2004, 07:37:41 AM »
That is, assuming there's going to be one. I'd have to say that Viewtiful Joe would be an absolutely perfect addition. I mean, he already has his moves all planned out and he even already has a double jump. He's perfect!
