...touche..

But to put the thread back on track this game could better serve if it were resealed sooner. By waiting till fall they can have the NBA champ at the top of the tier but that doesn't matter in this type of game Or hopefully they'll be running their campaign during the NBA playoffs. Prodding nostalgic NBA fans is a key component.

Actually, they could program the game to use the SDHC support of the Wii and save and load DLC and any other game updates there.

Again you are correct.....

But we can add that to THE LIST;
Nintendo could rid us of friend codes..
Nintendo could support more WiiWare demos...
Nintendo could have used the SD feature to "fix" Conduit's Online hack...
Nintendo could...
        Nintendo could...
                 Nintendo could...

We sure do say that alot.

As for Metroid, nunchuck support is a must so hopefully they'll add it during the delay period.

Gamers need to stop going here......Nintendo has........ Swallow it or walk.

$39.99 is the magic price point.

Absolutely! This way, anyone that remotely recognizes the franchise will impulse buy it...

Those of us who'll scrutinize it will wait for more hands on and word of mouth are more likely grab it after the majority thumbs up...

And Grandma with two Andrew Jackson's and some pocket change that's looking for Jimmy's new sports game with the sweaty mens will be all over it.

What WILL hinder this title(not hurt) is not having the opportunity to have DLC and firmware updates. I understand there going to give us Charters via unlock and if it were the other two consoles we would have to pay for it but it still limits the possibilities...like so...

...everything they put into the game has to be agreed upon NOW, so if the Guerrilla(Suns), The Hornet(New Orleans) and Michael Jordan don't roger up at first then we miss out, but if they were to see the game's success they could change their mind...

I know some people have there feelings hurt when there ready to play their game but needs to update on the PS3/360 but it fixes things, if this game has any  form of emulation in it, it could be buggy as all hell..

Too bad I only have two hands and I wont be able to count my toes while I walk around..... Only if i had something to count my steps......
Do you have access to a smartphone or media player that can run apps?  There are free apps that can do this.

...Well they say a joke isn't funny if you have to explain it....

But I was inferring to my inability to count past 20 without my toes so how would I get to 1200, then I also referred to needing something like a pedometer when in fact that's what the pokewalker is....  :'( there goes my BET comedy special :'(

on the bright side that does mean that you're an awesome person MegaByte for even trying to H E L P O U T T H E S L O W L E A R N E R S L I K E M E :Q

Maybe do some smaller tests like that where you actually count your strides.  That could at least tell you which one is closer to correct.

That sounds better, not that I don't like TJ's and that guy's suggestions but this one is a bit more practical.

Too bad I only have two hands and I wont be able to count my toes while I walk around..... Only if i had something to count my steps......

I have the wondrous opportunity to play alot of games with my son(he's 10) and we've been doing the Pokemon thing together ever since the FireRed and LeafGreen GBA releases. So of course we were both super excited for the HeartGold/SoulSilver games. I picked the less sought after HeartGold and he, the latter.

Now the Pokewalker is the new addition that has been all the rave. I go an a 3-4 mile run every morning at 0500 and you bet I take it with me(along with the baggage of having a pokeball strapped to my hip) and I get about 6000-6500 steps with mine on that run alone....but one day I grabbed my son's by mistake and I had 8653 steps???? I take the same route during the course of a week.

So with my Curious George instinct I took both of them together on the same run for the last two days and his always has about 2000-2700 more steps!!!!

Is mine defective? Is His? Plus his always has the random Pokemon appearing in his, I have yet for that to happen..(so I'm jealous)

I also spoke with two friends that also have the game but they both have SoulSilver(go figure) and they both say they average 15,000 a day!!!!

Does any one else have this type of disparity??? or am I the lonely soul that has the Gold....

General Gaming / Re: Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Thinking of making a PS3 cabinet

that would be awesome my friend..

I'm hoping for a Wii announcement at E3. Seriously, I need to play to this game on my Wii!

Though Tatsunoko vs. Capcom did do online better than I thought it would, sadly the Wii would not be able to handle this game. It's using the SF4 engine with some of the same assets in  Tatsunoko vs. Capcom but clocked up to match that MvC2 speed.

And hey don't worry about Marvel vs. Capcom being about hardcore gamers...it is pure fast based button masher...a sweet crazy insane game.

Mmmm... I think that depends on who you talk to.. if it's like MvC2 each character has a light attack, light attack, heavy attack combo and that,s button mashing but if you like winning you need to turn that into;

light attack, light attack, pop-up,(in air) light attack, heavy attack, special move(must juggle) double jump, light attack, SUPER MOVE..(actual Morrigan combo)

and that's the mid level stuff... Sorry if I perpetuated your sadness broodwars

Yup chose impressions too, if one conveys that FEELING as Mr. Diamond states then we learn so much....

por ejemple..

We see game play from Other M, Samus is moving about in 3D space... we think" How the hell do you do that with out a nun-chuck?"

But with the hands on guy he says..." as  you press left and right on the d-pad, she traverses these obstacles automatically and shoots the nearst enemy as I press 1..."

Again, why would anyone want that?

Well, I think(and so does Kamiya-san)  that with Nintendo looking over your shoulder is more than likely to bring out the best in a developer or at least what comes out as the end product is what Nintendo had in mind but needed a second brain to think of it.

Sadly history has shown us that doesnt always mean a better product because we did get Star Fox Adventures but we also got Punch Out! and I'm at least thankful for the latter.

^ I like this gauy :) Best new guy ever (Sorry Maxi)!

Thank you, I'm honored...

ControlerFlex,
You take the blue pill and this is the end. You return back to the main page and you carry on with whatever it is you usually do.
You take the red pill you can make your way to the Funhouse, and we can show you how crazy this place(and all it's active members) actually are.

I appreciate the invite, I didn't want to jump into the other forums before hand because I wanted prove/earn my respect as a competent gamer. I just may have done that, so I'll take your red pill and wash it down with some Ciroc and stay in Wonderland and you can show me how deep the rabbit-hole goes.....

Wii Sports wasn't generic looking when it came out, the Miis are stylized in a way we hadn't seen in gaming much before then.

I don't want to seem like I'm doing this I'm right and your not thing because I do value your opinion and respect the time you've spent on NWR buuuuuuut.....

Miis are a step backwards from a previous "generic" looking art style of characters; Animal Crossing. It traded the clothes editing with face editing. Granted we see a plethora of the face edits due to the Mii Channel but Animal Crossing wasn't afforded that type of "contest attention"

Why would someone want to be held at gunpoint for any reason? Completely illogical.

Deep inhale........Head shaking exhale......

I'm sure Hideki Kamiya-san, was refering to the type of pressure that Nintendo imposes on development studios when they "lend out" their IP's.

Aren't the only generic looking Wii games the shovelware?

Wii Sports/Resort, Wii Fit/Plus, Boom Blox/Bash Party, to name a few "generic" looking games that are far from shovleware.......

We're never gonna live that down, are we?

I'm pretty sure we (or at least I) never said that the DSi XL was just for old people, I think we said that's the PR/marketing angle Nintendo was using for it.

Sorry Neal, I was just trolling you guys...... If only it made me 93% more mature.....

I'm not old....

The only system I might need to justify is the 360 since I play that the least, games are too expensive and often you can get the same games cheaper and better on the PC.

Wow! Really? I usually find the 360 get the most love and that blows my mind. I don't understand how a system that is a proven broken piece of crap still have sooooo many fanboys... I still to this day tribute 30% of their sales to people that just bought a new 360 because the one they had broke....
