All right, sounds great. If possible, could we do battle at some point? I've mostly played that on MKW's online.

BTW, is there a chatroom all you are using?

All the people I've deleted so far were from TMK.

It was one of the main reasons I left there: pretty much no one wanted to do anything anymore when it comes to Mario Kart and Brawl. It was depressing every time I said "anyone up for Mario kart?" and no one answers.

I've used the Wheel 100%, so I think I'm pretty good.

Ok, I added you, Maxi.

Uh oh, my list is full again. I'll have to add you sometime later after I decide who's going to get dumped.

This is usually why I refrain from friend code adding until the appropriate time-- most people either haven't registered me or never met up with me.

And I'd be happy to do AC with anyone with they're up for it later... gots WiiSpeak.

May I join in too? If so, one of you add my friend code and tell me.

The only stages I ever select are Block Plaza, GCN Cookie Land, and sometimes N64 Skyscraper. GBA Battle Course 3 sucks in Balloon Battle because your revival points have no item boxes around, giving your opponents a free shot. DS Twilight House it's another type of course where it's sometimes impossible to catch up with people because it's just one big circle.

I mostly enjoy Mario Kart Wii's online Battle, despite a few problems that are present. I have played the online battle so much that it unlocked Mii Outfit B.

There are some things that are particularly annoying about online battle– first and foremost, Funky Stadium. I have never disliked a battle course so much. It is simply too big, which makes it impossible to catch up to people, and the constant blockades make it difficult to throw red shells. And somehow, I think the "random selection" done before battle is rigged. I have noticed that if ? is picked, it will most likely be a course no else picked. And if one's selection has the least chance of being picked randomly, it most likely be picked.

The battle rating system has some annoyances as well. It follows a "you gain some, you lose all" philosophy, so several consecutive wins earn like 100 points, but one loss deducts 200. The only upside to it is that I can easily tell who some of the cheaters are, who have 9999 points, so I can drop out prematurely without losing points. However, it does not take into account whether or not your teammates sucked or you were grossly outnumbered. So if your team lost but you had more points scored than the leading person on the winning team, you don't even get brownie points. It's bullshit.

But nonetheless, MKW's smooth online has probably made it my most played game on Wii.

You are sitting with your legs crossed in the middle of the living room. The game instructs you to close your eyes. Your heartbeat is higher than it likes, so the music is more intense than you would like. It tells you to relax and to focus on your relaxation. The music becomes less intense and the sound of waves begin to hit your ear. Further and further you relax until you hear nothing but the sound of nature. With the trees shaking in the wind, the sound of birds singing, and the waves splashing onto the shore, you have finally relaxed. It then tells you to think of all the things that might cause you stress....
That sounds like a game that can be used to hypnotize people. Once the sensor determines that the user is in a deep state of relaxation, other players can then use that to make the user do silly things. Imagine... Wii Hypnosis.

How does Tilt City actually work, and how do both the Wii Remote and the Balance Board come into play? Is it similar to Table Tilt in Wii Fit?

The game's not coming out for like a year.  Music will be one of the last things they work on.
Yeah, the music for Gusty Garden Galaxy was recorded in late August, less than three months before release of the game.

The only thing in the SMG2 trailer that is bothering me is that I've realized Mario's footprints in the snow are floating above it, right before he jumps off that snowy ledge.

I don't know what happened with Brawl. When I played it online a few weeks after launch it was fine, I never experienced lag until I tried playing it online again a few months later (normally lag goes down over time, not gets worse).

Me too, I played a lot of lag free Brawl with friends in the NW, SW, SE, and me in the NE (As far away as you can get in the US) without incident. Brawl is capable of it, but it's a narrow window and a lot of things can gunk it up....

Thinking about it, it might be because Europe and Australasia were added to the mix: more distances to cover. The lag could've been made less worse if there was the option to play regionally rather than only worldwide altogether.

double post, sorry  :-[

Well, I'm not necessarily disappointed about lack of online play, its multiplayer feels like a very together experience, rather than several playing together but far and apart. The game play of NSMBWii also seems like it could be a nice draw for griefers, which I hated in MKW and Brawl.

341
The four players in NSMBWii is that complex? Given that games like Conduit and Mario Kart Wii have 12-person online... but then again, Brawl supported up to four and that had some bad lag. Given that Brawl depends a lot on accuracy, where Mario Kart Wii deals with its lag by making attacks and positions less precise, NSMBWii seems to depend on accuracy as well, from what I've seen.

An idea would be if the player were in a horror survival game, and the game read how scared the player was, or something.

lol, Can't wait to hear deatails!

Just think of pikmin with online play! Either co-op battles with two diffrent forces, or a death match with 100 pikmin vs. 100 pikmin in a fight to the death! The possibilitys!
The lag would be atrocious with 200 Pikmin running around between somewhere like New York and Japan. Maybe 100 Pikmin (it's always been that number), but online feels doubtful somewhat.

Bill Trinen needs to spend less time demoing games at Nintendo's press conference and more time localizing Mario & Luigi!
Nate Bihldorff wrote the text for both M&L games. Trinen translated the text from Japanese so Bihldorff could read and localize it.

I saw a Grinder from SMW... and one level looks like a throwback to Huge Island from SMB3. When riding Yoshi, the Wii Pointer controls his licks. And a planet that is Luigi's head!

Far as I know,THQ does a lot of TV show/movie based games, like Rugrats, Spongebob, or Are you Smarter than a 5th grader.
