Condum unit was supposed to have it too... Everyone hates M+

It was never 100% promised. They said they would try and implement it and after some experimenting they decided it would not be a good fit for their game. They chose to NOT shoehorn one of the Wii's new exotic functions into a game. Imagine that, developers have gone crazy with these sane thoughts!  :D

Thanks for the insightful review. I think this isn't a game I would be interested in. I think I'd like the art direction and the ambiance of diving underwater but the gameplay (yet another match 3 game) and lack of variety seem to do it in for me.

Ah, thanks for the clarification, Pap. Though that doesn't rule out the possibility of the dev team deciding to add it before the game is finished.

Wasn't Dead Space Extraction possibly going to have it? Can't think of any other titles.

Nice to finally get something concrete from Nintendo regarding this. I'm curious if any of their Fall/holiday titles will be supporting the peripheral.

You aren't interested in having a quality Wii FPS with good online support? That's what I'm most interested in from this game.

I don't know how to change that to a special character Mop it up. Show me how, and buy me a drink and I'll change it :)

We do need an official NWR drink. It CANNOT be that Final Fantasy potion stuff mentioned on one of the last Radio Trivia 'casts.

Odd. Did you opt out of any Nintendo notification services? Did you turn off the WC24 option at some point? Is your power light red or orange when your system is off?

Why is Guitar Hero 3 still selling like that in the UK and World Tour is nowhere to be seen?

If you really want to hate me though, I also have five sets of Component Cables.... ;)

That settles it. We'll all go to your place and play games on your systems. Then we'll play 'Bowser Revolution' with all your Nintendo swag  :D

Last firmware update I had to manually update it.  Damn wii wouldn't even let me know that the SD update was available.  And I'm using WC24.

They don't notify you of new updates until a day or two after they are released typically. I usually update my Wii right when the update is released and the first couple times I thought they had already released another one because I got the letter the day after D/Ling the update.

Thanks to everyone for your comments.  We're recording a day early this week due to schedule conflicts, so the SoM wrap-up may be a bit abrupt.  I for one plan to keep playing it, because it's getting more addictive as I get deeper.

Does this mean the 'cast will be up Saturday instead of Sunday? Will there be hidden Easter Eggs in the podcast considering it's...yeah, that would be kind of cheesy.

I got the impression that it would be a groundbreaking new dynamic to FPS'. I'm not upset that it's not but I was curious if it would turn out to be something completely new and different.

Must just be Sega's marketing generating hype.

I'm still not convinced the ASE isn't something completely new to FPF games. It scans things and looks like it has attack capabilities. Sounds like a mix of the visors from Metroid Prime and some explosive triggers.

The cheapest I found one of those was $50 and I didn't want to pay the price of a full game to play what I felt I had a right to play. One person did that and another brought in a projector to his room. People found ways around it. I just played Gameboy and PC games. StarCraft, Unreal Tournament, Civilization 4, Battle for Middle Earth, Halo and Command & Conquer Generals were popular on the dorm LAN. We did have a big TV in the common room but games were only allowed on it during the weekends and due to certain biases the gamers were almost always given the short end of the stick compared to the sports fans who were always given priority of the TV.

I played a lot of the GBA Fire Emblems during that time.

You guys suck, with your Broken Cubes... What the heck are you doing to them?  And Ian, how dare you abandon your 'Cube at someone else's house?!?

I'm going to go hug my GameCubes right now.  All three of them plus my Q, plus the four GameBoy Players.

You need to share some of those, Uncle Bob. Send me the Q so I can continue to appreciate this brilliant console and behold all it's magical wonders.

The laser on mine just started to give out. It slowly stopped reading more and more games. I tried cleaning the laser but to no avail.

I left my cube at home for my little sister to enjoy when I was away at college for several years. My school was stupid and didn't allow TV's in the dorm rooms so I couldn't use it my first two years anyway except at home. Now they get rid of the rule AFTER I'm not in the dorms anymore.

Mop it up and I were talking about this and we are curious to what people think about this matter.

Should you try games before you flat out condemn them? I know some people have standards that if Metacritic -or their preferred review site- rates a game less than an 8 they will not give it the light of day. But I have also taken a chance with some less favorably rated games and found them to be quite enjoyable.

Also there are games that have a notorious hate bandwagon but I question how many people have actually played some of them. I know on WiiWare World games like Spogs Racing, Pong Toss and Plaatchen Paint N Twist seem to be almost universally hated and are almost meme jokes in relation to the question of a game's quality yet few of the people criticizing these games have actually tried them.

Should people try certain games for themselves or can we just trust reviews all the time?

Also, in the case of awfully rated games like Superman 64, E.T.or the more recent Sonic games, should we experience the bad so we can better appreciate the good? The Wii gets a lot of bad rap for being buried in shovelware. But are most of these games truly as bad as some say when we look at other poorly viewed games throughout gaming history?

Is this over thinking the situation? Are there merits to this line of thought? Have you ever gotten a game despite mediocre reviews and found it surprisingly enjoyable? Has playing a terrible game given you a better appreciation for what makes a good game fun?

I had a magnification/front light accessory that folded open. It took 4 AA batteries and made The Brick even larger.
