Speaking of the Madworld PAL scandal, is there any mention from Sega about that? I dropped the fact on another forum and people there seemed to be shocked about it. It is still off of the mainstream game journalist radar.

I'm glad to hear Overkill and Madworld sales are satisfactory to them.

Overkill has 200k and Madworld has 130k

I've heard that the average game breaks even around 200k so this is a good sign for them. Sadly Tenchu is only and 40k and Deadly Creatures is 50k though there is still time for them.

I love sales figure from anywhere. I've become obsessed with them.
NA,PAL and Japan. Include Korea as well while your at it. I'm wondering how the Wii is faring there.

confusion?

By the way, when I mention that I hope the rumors are true, I don't mean that Factor 5 has been shut down, but that they are working on exclusive Nintendo games. Just to be clear on that.

I understood you to mean that.

@Arbok
Good luck remembering.

I think the strength of your condemnation should not exceed a magnitude in direct proportion to the amount of experience you have with it.

I mean, it's perfectly fine to never play a game and make an informed decision to not even try to play it, citing reasons for that decision. But if that's the case, you have to admit that the opinions of those who have played the game are a little more decisive, even if they may never sway you to buy it. You're still allowed to think that you won't have fun with the game at all, but I don't think you could do anything as drastic as 'condemnation."

That's one of the things I was thinking. People seem to quickly hop on hate bandwagons over games that they have never played when they may not be as terrible as some would say. Conversely games that people love greatly do not stand the test of time and people do not look back on them with as much favor as they once did.

That is very exciting news. Thanks for the update. I may add it to my original post along with some pictures if you don't mind GP so new people looking at the thread can see it all easily.

Only one Wii game, interesting. Figures it would be WiiFit. When does Excite Bots come out in Japan? Next month Japan also gets Takt of Magic and I am curious how these two Nintendo titles will fare on their home turf. None of the NPC games outside of Pikmin 2 seem to have made much of a splash.

RE5 is doing pretty good so far.

Mario & Luigi 3 is faring well also.

That's funny because I pull mine out early all the time and I've never had issues like that before.

But I do drop mine a lot and now my laptop can't detect it after a recent nasty fall onto pavement. Though it could be the computers usb drives since it can't read one of my mice anymore.

No mention of online but I am curious about the possibility of 8 player split screen.

OK, thanks BnM. Wonder what people would think seeing a guy taking pictures and stuff  :D
I think the Google street image was off a bit. I clicked on the link to another business with the same address and I did see an office building in that shot. Another thing you could do is go in and find suite 300 which is theirs.

Don't feel you have to go too far out of your way to do anything but any effort you put in is appreciated. Boo to tolls  :P

The material in the trailer is dated from December 2008 so the graphics could be a lot nicer by now.

Looks like this will be competing with ExciteBots for Spring racing sales.

Factor 5's address:

101 Lucas Valley Road
Suite 300
San Rafael, CA 94903

If anyone is near San Rafael I would appreciate some sleuthing work to see if the building is occupied by another business or shut down.

Well their website is still up and their phone system is still active so who knows. If their phone system and site go down in the next few months then that may show they are gone. The silence is abnormal though. Typically you hear confirmation that a studio is shut down but all we have are rumors.

Also note the Turrican games is still on the VC system and one new game by them was added recently as well so some part of them is still active. They may have just lost their building and so they are operating out of someones basement. Their offices could have been foreclosed and they cannot access their stuff or their contact lists. Where are they located? Could someone go look up their place and see if it is boarded up or if a new business is still there?

Here's their office address, anyone near here and interested in doing a little field research/snooping?

101 Lucas Valley Road
Suite 300
San Rafael, CA 94903

I looked them up on Google Maps street view but I couldn't see any building from the picture.

Nintendo should have bailed out Factor 5 and made them a 2rd party developer.

True, true.

I dare someone to watch a Superman 64 video and not come away with the same impression everyone else has. ;)

I dare everyone to vote for Superman 64 in the RetroActive poll.  :)

Chrono Trigger there is also a boss like that.

No there isn't.  ;)

Oh! Right! No there isn't. You can kill it if you really put your heart into it and believe you can do anything. ;)

I actually did a double take because I thought it was Daisy's number 1 fan at first who typed it since it sounded so much like what he'd say.

Being an adult sucks sometimes.

QFT.

Half of my friends aren't all that interested in games like they used to be and the other half are too busy to play that often. Some of them actually give me a 'I finally grew out of that phase' speech and most of them are off getting married. I'm one of the only people in all my groups of friends that is still single. Most of my friends are already married or will be by the end of May. The married ones are even more busy. I need some more single friends I think.

Does anyone want to play some Wi-Fi games?

Also, no ones mentioned Pokemon yet. I play with my little sister. We've gotten some fun out of the Underground mode where you dig together and play capture the flag while setting traps.

I think a lot of the reason why the Wii version is lacking in content is because it didn't have the longer development time that the 360/PS3 versions had.

I don't see why the Wii team couldn't just jack material from the HD team. All the concept and design work is already done so it shouldn't be that much of an issue to create a non-HD version even with toned down violence.

I simply love Phantom Hourglass' multiplayer. I can't play my DS online when I'm visiting my folks but at home I play it all the time. Speaking of which my FC for the game is in my sig so if anyone else wants to play some of it then just let me know.

I also have enjoyed Mario Kart and New Mario Brothers in multiplayer. Tetris DS is nice but it turns out I'm not very good at it online. Plus not a whole lot of people play it anymore. I prefer Meteos though that's not online sadly. Maybe they'll make one for DSiWare with online focus.

I played a bit in the Advance Wars: Days of Ruin online and liked that. I haven't tried to go online with Fire Emblem yet because I want to beat the story first.

I have GTA Chinatown Wars waiting at home and I understand that has a multiplayer mode as well.

I would love to find someone who would play Age of Empires DS with me as I love that game as well.

Ring's of Fate is alright but I haven't played the multiplayer at all and I don't terribly feel motivated to get the new Echoes one.

I also have Lock's Quest but have not tried that games multiplayer yet either.

My little sister has Mario Party DS and that is fun for a while. The minigames are fun and it seems to be executed fairly well. I might pick up a sequel. I really like that Mario Party has single card play.

There is that new Dokapon Kingdom DS game so I might get that instead. I think Dokapon Kingdom on Wii is far superior to any Mario Party I have played.
