Nintendo Gaming / Eternal Darkness Request
« on: February 26, 2003, 08:58:56 AM »
it is a fun game the 1st time through, not scary at all but fun and interesting, the 1st time through the insanity effects are great and  if your nat familiar with them they can scrw with your mind a bit. by the 4th time through it becomes extremely boring though and a chore to complete just to see a slightlly different ending. the replay value is notthe greatest.

it is more fun and  becomes a tiny bit creepy if you play with your insanity gone. the problem i found was that for it to be scary it needed to be something that the player could imagine happening to them, which is why the house area always seems the creepiest , especially the bathtun scene which is the only jump  u will probably get out of the game.

as far as thr resident evil remake goes, that had me on the edge of my seat way more often in every new area and even going back into old area as well.

she is based off your typical raver chick.
which  i think will help boost sales in japan.
the rave scene  has grown over the last  few years over there.

the 9 suits look to be the same suit to me, just  9 different colors.

i never noticed the change they made till now about the  laser shooting from her hand  and not a gun.. when did that happen?

I never said last week. It was a monthly report they mentioned, I assume Jan. since Feb. is still going on.
Pretty big screw up for a network devoted to PC and console gaming to make don't ya think?
to make just one comment is one thing but to use it as a story as the x-box coming back in japan  surely  they must have checked some sources.

i am in the main entry room, stairs infront, wall of fire at the base of stairs.
one fire lit in a mouth at top in a statue, two without fires.
two torch things as well halfway up the stairs.
i have tried about every combination i can think of to light all the things in this room and withoutthe hammer i can not get rid of the blocks on the top right either.
any help would be more then appriciated.

Nintendo Gaming / Japan, Gamcube / X-box
« on: February 24, 2003, 04:39:21 PM »
i was watching gaming news on G4tv tonight  on a show called pulse.
seems that they are reporting that  the X-box has  actually outsold the gamecube in japan not overall sales but for a  monthly  count. seems that DOA3 volleyball has  actually helped  sales outthere tremendously.

anyway here is the link
http://g4tv.com/html/showinfo.asp?episode_key=609

link to pulse

it does not tell the dates or amounts there but you can check to see if it's there or watch the rerun in a few hours tonight.

i am amazed at how much x-box has had to  sell to catch up so quickly to beat out the cube.
hard to believe, i knew it had pulled ahead in the states but  had no idea about japan. does anyone know the actual figures?

without a head set it will be lacking the interaction of others that x-box has.

might as well be playing against a computer  without  that extra interaction.

Nintendo Gaming / "Networking Gamecubes"
« on: February 15, 2003, 08:30:47 PM »
not sure aboutthe rest of ya, but having tv's in seprate rooms seems to  defy the point , plus i don't want people in my room, that's why i have a huge tv in the  main room not my room.

if a group of nerds wants to set up a lan party and do all the work then hell i might go and enjoy it but  i am sure i can find  more things to do with my time besides that. online sounds like a solution to  playing alone, but with the lan you have to know people with cubes  and so forth and so on, have the same games and more and more. then who gets to play in the room with surround sound while the other guy gets stuck on the little 17 inch screen and  the other is on the big 61 incher.

sure this idea is good for some of you all and nothing wrong with that but  for the magority of gamers it's not a big deal.

would be an interesting mix to see   a combination of  the two, celda and spaceworld going back and forth through the game.  think how in OOT you go back from young to old link. could be interesting for sure.

Nintendo Gaming / Gamecube console, profit from day one?
« on: February 13, 2003, 07:20:45 PM »
nice to see some  interesting feedback form from this.

i have no idea what steel  or other metals cost 20 years ago but i purchase small amounts of steel brass and aluminum all the time. a brass rod  of 5/16 diamiter runs about 10 bucks for 3 feet of it depending on where ya get it.

as far as external harddrives go, the one i got for   myself about 2-3  years ago  is 60 gigs and ran about 250-300 same one is i think 150-200 now.

« on: February 13, 2003, 07:43:06 AM »
yes, gotta be honest . i was not expecting you to say that rick after so many said the 100 dollar thing. Although even 1 dollar is netter then a negitive amount the rumors of it being a 50 take home on each consol  ran rapid in the last forum.

does anyone else  know about this as well?

Nintendo Gaming / Gamecube console, profit from day one?
« on: February 12, 2003, 11:11:31 PM »
i have read over and over that the cube has made money from the sale of the console from day one while ps2 and x-box both took or are still taking some serious losses on their consoles.

although i have seen this on the old forums numorous times i have yet to see any facts  showng the cubes construction cost and it's intake.

does anyone here know  what those figures are and can it be backed up?
thanx

Nintendo Gaming / Official Zelda Bonus Disk Topic...
« on: February 12, 2003, 09:49:15 AM »
since there are no threads for us to discuss the Zelda bonus disk within the Zelda forum this one is now here to discuss it between each other within the "Zelda" forum.

I know some of you have received the disk and some are still waiting like myself.
The Gamestop where i reserved it is giving out an OOT stratagy guide with the disk which is a nice extra. has anyone else seen other things handed out with the bonus disk besides this?

is there anyone else who has gone in to pick up there disk or the ones who have it was it an online order that you did to receive it early?

(bloodworth, i looked in the zelda forum for a topic to continue this discusion  after you locked the last because you said there were many but every one pertaining to the disk  itself was locked so i hope creating a topic about just the disk itself is not  something you feel needs to be locked, i know you said go to the talk back but it is Zelda and this is the Zelda forum so it made sense that we have a discussion here , if  you lock this then i guess the bonus disk is just not suppossed to be discussed in here and i'll take the hint, hopefully no one will think this is out of line and if so then my apologies prior for recreating a "Zelda" discussion in the "Zelda" forum.)

Nintendo Gaming / Driver 3
« on: February 10, 2003, 09:26:34 PM »
i am sooooo looking forward to this.

Driver 1 was  a blast and 2 was even more fun taking things to the next level with car jacking and curved roads and such, then comes GTA which based a lot of itself off driver. so now driver 3 is going to  be outthis fall and i am overly anxious after seeing some great screen shots and reading an interview about it in EGM. looks like they took the physics engine from stuntman and made it even more realistic. This game has great  potential for a car chase smash ga,me emulating some of hollywoods greatest car chases and even rooftop chases as well in this one.

anyone else  looking forward to this?
