Well this is a bummer. I was looking forward to this game being pretty decent, especially with the straight up drawing on the screen that should've made the game easier to play. Making courses with a mouse was always frustrating and often times unsuccessful due to lines not properly linking up.

Agreed, to bad. I thought it would be cool. I'll byuy a used copy at gamestop later, I can wait for the cost to come down to 5-10$.

Hmm... Unlike Vudu above me, it sounds like a great game/movie. I know it has a replay value to it to try to choose diffrent paths, but as long as one way through last a good while (more then a hour) I sounds like fun! Kepp up the good work guys! (and gals)

P.S. What the h... what is with all of the sonic avitors? I have nothing againts sonic nor sega, but is this just a acident? Or are you guys feeding hipnotic sound waves through your podcast telling people to use sonic theme avitors... I know Jonny has the capibilities...

I will find out one way or the other...

"Nintendo DSi Software Will Be Region-Locked
Filed under: Interview, News, Nintendo DS — hattrick @ 1:50 pm

Here is a bit of info for all you who are planning on importing a DSi.  It seems that the DSi will not be region locked for basic functions (i.e. DS cartridge games, camera, and internet browser).  However, things such as the DSWare services will be region locked.

“DSi is region locked because DSi embeds net communication functionality within itself, and we are intending to provide net services specifically tailored for each region,” said a statement given to UK consumer website CVG.

The statement reasons that region-locking its upcoming DS hardware upgrade is necessary as the new system will feature parental control features which will be dependent on each region’s unique age limit.

The DSi, however, will be able to play standard Nintendo software from any region, similar to the original Nintendo DS model and the Nintendo DS Lite. Users will also be able to browse the Internet on their DSi from anywhere in the world and exchange photos with friends in other countries."

 :o

This has been going on for a while with my wii now, around a month after SSBB came out. One day I happly pop in the disk, upntill now, every thing was working when the wii screams "CHEA CHE CHEEE CHE CHEEE!" It sounds like a bloody chainsaw! I tried diffrent disc, each has it's own sound to it, my beloved MoH2 has a deep hum, but the SSBB is bby far the worst.

I was wondering, do any of you have this problem? Yes, My wii has fallen from it's self more then once (probaly the cause), but I feel it may be something diffrent, let me know, and while your at it, share your wii "pet peeve".

Ok, it's been anounce by nintendo yestoryday, here is the summery, but click on the link for many pics of it and the confrence.

http://wiinintendo.net/2008/10/02/is-it-is-it-yes-it-is-a-new-ds/#more-7938

"The rumors finally come to an end tonight as Nintendo wraps up their Japanese press conference. Enough jibber jabber let’s get into the details.

The size has been reduced 12% and 2.6 millimeters.

There is an SD card slot so you could take your images from the photo channel and put it on your DSi

The DSi has a larger screen, 3.25 inches. There’s a camera, and an audio-playing abilities. The camera is 3 megapixels. (Wow that’s more than my phone)

You can edit the picture using the touch screens. And no that is not a typo. There will be two touch screens! When you play back audio you could edit the speed.

Wii points has a new name “Nintendo Points” why is this you might ask? Because now you could download games and possibly apps for your DSi via Nintendo DS Shop. The DSi has a built in web browser also. Hopefully it will work great with blogging!

The DSi will come with 1,000 Nintendo Points when you buy it. This goes until March 2010 for Japan. No word on US yet.

The DSi will release in Japan for 18,900 yen (About 180 US) on November 1st in Japan.  It will come in white and black."

"MCV (The Market for Computer and Video Games) has now confirmed that the new DS model will be announced at the conference. MCV’s sources told them that Satoru Iwata (President of Nintendo) will make the announcement at 5 am UK time (which is midnight tonight, so maybe the conference is slightly earlier than Kotaku reported). MCV says the new model will have a MP3 player and a camera, and mention that the launch date and price are unknown, though “it will be a surprise to see its arrival delayed until after Christmas”. They called it the “multimedia model” in reference to it and I thought that the DS Media or DS Multimedia is a good name, so maybe that will be its name. We’ll find out in around 12 hours when the conference begins!"

From my source, it was confermed by nintendo it self!

http://wiinintendo.net/2008/09/30/rumor-more-details-on-new-ds-model/

There is the main source, but contains the link to the real source.

"DS Village claims that a source within Nintendo has revealed that the new DS model is indeed real and has a few more details. The software developer within Nintendo that they spoke to says he has seen the new DS model. Below are the tidbits he revealed:

- Larger and higher-resolution screens
- Still has a 4:3 display and not widescreen
- Has some new features, like the camera
- Camera is of “fairly high resolution” and is pointed away from the player

The developer said “he and his colleagues had fun pointing the camera at background objects so as to make it appear that the screens of the DS were transparent.” This sounds real enough to me and fits what we already know about the new DS model. Tomorrow night can’t come soon enough! (Note: The above picture is from a previous camera attachment for the DS, not of the new DS model)"

Take a look, it even has a cool pic!

Yup, like they say in the source, I agree that it's a fake, only because it says it'll release "THIS Year". Nintendo wouldn't hold a trump card like that, thats the type of thing they would've/should've mention at E3, or even last years E3. They would've anounced it by now for sure in my book.

Of course, if a new modal was to come out, it may have a built in camra though...

Nintendo Gaming / Official DSi Discussion (was: New DS model Details :rumor)
« on: September 27, 2008, 08:26:55 PM »
You might want to take a peek here (http://wiinintendo.net/2008/09/27/rumor-next-ds-to-include-camera-music-playback-and-coming-this-year/) there they have info on a claimed new version of ds comming out this year for Japan. They also go the source link there, but here the the quoted claims:

"Okay, this is a BIG RUMOR. Make sure you know that before reading the rest. Word from NeoGAF is that a Nekkei newspaper ad (which they have a picture of) in Japan has revealed details on a new DS (new model or re-design, we don’t know). Here’s what it says about this supposed new DS:

- Digital Camera included
- Music playback function
- Better Wi-Fi connectivity
- Larger screen
- New types of games that use the camera
- Exchange data between Wii and DS using a SD card
- Releases this year in Japan
- Costs under 20,000 yen (Approx. $189 USD)

Honestly, this sounds like the most believable rumor out of all the rumors I’ve seen except for one thing that makes me think it’s fake. How could this DS (that sounds more like a new model than a re-design) release this year already? I know that Nintendo has been secretive about its products lately, but this just seems too early of a release date. Having said that, I really hope this is true. I have an original DS and have been holding off on the DS Lite for a while, so this would be perfect for me."

Thats it, hammer away and to the staff: ty for making great podcast, I was listening to one in high school the other day in the lybary, reading a book with I-pod in ears, they start talking about a bad golf game, and I was laughing so load, every one though I was crazy!

I never played red steel 1 by the way.

 ???

I am fairly new to the podcast, and I do love it so far, I haven't totaly memerized everyone on there, but in the newest podcast, the one who hates ubersoft (or something like that, the people who made Red Steel 1) have anounced #2, and it'll use the motion plus.

I don't like them either, but i thought the pod caster who hates the would like to see this...
