an employee at EB Games had not played any Zelda game since the SNES days, and didn´t even know about OOT or MM
Wow.  I'm absolutely dumb-struck.  How is it possible not to know about these games?  I suppose I can understand never playing these games, but not even knowing of their existance?  Does this guy consider himself a gamer?

How about a code in Nano Breaker that causes graphics to be in black and white except for the "oil"?

13378
Why don't you just turn off the color on your television?  Then you can play black and white Eternal Darkness, Wind Waker, and RE4.

Knowing Nintendo ... not gonna happen.  We all know Nintendo likes to control everything.  If they let anyone create games they'd wind up with Mario beating up hookers or Link and Zelda getting it on.

I was under the impression that it sucks with the regular controller, so it doesn't make sense to demo it without the bongos.

::In Ian's voice (typing)::

If this game is Nintendo's sole launch title for Revolution, I will be very upset.  Plus, a port for a launch title is acceptable if it's a not a port of a game that everyone's already played.

With Super Mario DS, not only was it the system's only first-party launch title, but it was a port of a game that everyone has already played through at least twice.

Have you guys thought the retractable cord thing though the whole way?

That's going to make for some Xbox-sized controllers.  Unless you're thinking it detaches at the controller and retracts into the console; in that case, it's going to make for an Xbox-sized console.  It's a lose-lose situation.

Plus, what happens if the cord is attached to the console permanently and your dog chews through it?  How much of a pain is it going to be to replace?  Not to mention the extra cost of having 4 cords a part of the console.  Those people who don't play multiplayer are going to have to pay for something they won't even use.

The only way it could be retractable is to have it as part of the controller, in which case only this man will be able to wield one.

If you want to go with the wire/less controller, the only way it could feasibly be done correctly would be to have the cord detach from both the console and the controller.

I believe Nintendo published the game in America (maybe Europe, too).  My understanding is that Namco wasn't going to release the game outside of Japan.  Nintendo wanted to, so they paid for everything that needed to get done in order to make it happen.

I think franchises such as Resident Evil just don't have the selling power they used too.  Look at the sales for Twin Snakes and/or Snake Eater--they're pitiful compared to the older games.  (Acid hasn't been selling very well either, but I think we can ignore that one because it's a card game, not a typical Metal Gear game.)

they are proud to have it at a constant 60 fps
Forgive me if I'm mistaken, but doesn't the DS require all games to play at a constant 60 FPS?  If so, that'a great quote.  Can someone grab the exact quote from IGN for me so I can replace my signature?  (I refuse to give IGN a hit.)

Translation shouldn't take that long at all considering there's already the GC English version.
I believe Nintendo owns the rights to the translated text and voice-acting.  If Namco wanted to release a PS2 version in America/Europe, they would have to retranslate everything, and re-record all new voiceovers.

What the hell.  You guys get Polarium on March 24th?  EBGames.com has it listed as April 18th for a US release.  PGC's release schedule still has it as May 31st.  It doesn't even show up on Gamestop.com.  I am sad.

To put that number into perspective, here are some other sales numbers for January.

(Note:  These came from gamesarefun.com.

January 2005 NPD sales numbers:

Mercenaries (PS2, Xbox): 384,000 total
Resident Evil 4 (GC): 319,000
Need for Speed Underground 2 (PS2, Xbox, GameCube): 142,000 + 86,000 + 22,000 = 250,000
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2): 241,000
The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (GBA): 217,000
NFL Street 2: (PS2, Xbox, & GC) 188,000 total
Halo 2 (Xbox): 124,000
The Punisher (PS2, Xbox): 61,000 + 62,000 = 123,000 total
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2): 66,000
MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf (Xbox): 59,000
The Getaway: Black Monday (PS2): 45,000
WWE SmackDown! Vs. Raw (PS2): 42,000
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath (Xbox): 28,317

RE4 isn't doing too shabby.  It's no Halo 2, obviously, but sales are fairly stellar.  I'm hoping they stay up there.

Dang.  I thought for sure it was Nintendo Ultra.  I still have my old Nintendo Power's (from like issues 30 to 110) at my parents' house.  I remember the January issue (the cover was mostly white) where the Nintendo 64 (Nintendo Ultra or Ultra 64, whichever the case may be) was unveiled.  I'll have to check it out next time I go visit them.

Wasn't it the Nintendo Ultra before it was the Nintendo 64?  I don't remember it ever being the Ultra 64.  However, I could be mistaken.

What about porn novels?
I was referring to the following post by nemo_83.

I was merely asking where porn novels fit into his analogy.

How about a pornographic novel?  Where does that fit in?

Well so far I see about 4 or 5 potential triple A titles coming out. There is Yoshi's Touch and Go, Castlevania DS, WarioWare Touched (even though it is said to be inferior to WWT for GBA is still a solid title), Metroid Hunters, Animal Crossing, along with Bomberman and Sonic being possible sleeper hits. I'm sure there are some that I've missed
You forgot Kirby's Magic Paintbrush, Mario Kart DS, Wars DS (if it comes out this year) and Meteos.  And maybe Polarium and Lost In Blue, depending on how they turn out.  And FFIII, but that's a port, so I don't know if you can count it.

EDIT:  I completely forgot about Another.  How silly of me.
