The simple fact that www.metroidvania.com is owned by Jeremy Parish should lend credence to its validity.

All I have to say is that if the people so want it, who am I to deny their wishes?

You're no one.  That's my point.   :Q

I own Phoenix Wright on DS and no desire to play it again any time soon.

I have the demo for Puzzle Quest 2 and it plays like **** on my second gen iPod touch--buggy as all Hell.  :(  Shame, really, because I like the game.

He's a mod in the Mafia board.  That's good enough for now.

Besides, he disappears for months at a time.

I liked Taken but a sequel? It's one of those movies where you shouldn't make a sequel.

You can say that about most movies with a sequel.  ;D

I still don't know what Puyo Puyo is. Is it the Japanese name for the Bust-A-Move series?

No, they are two different series.  Puyo Puyo--also known as Puyo Pop--has been released before as licensed games such as Kirby's Avalanche on SNES and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine on Genesis.  Both are available on Virtual Console for 800 points each.

Robbers always want the cash, and maybe some booze and a few packs of smokes, but why don't they ever take all the lotto scratchers?

There is probably more money in those scratchers (~$1000 in ticket cost alone) than there is in the register anyway. So why not give yourself a chance at being a millionaire in the process? Then you won't need to rob liquor stores anymore.

Just a guess, but does the lottery keep track of which instant win tickets they send to each store that sells them?  If they do, it would be pretty easy to catch someone who tried to claim a winning ticket that's worth enough not to be redeemable at another store.

Are DS games played on the 3DS controlled using the circle pad, D-pad or either?

Can 3DSWare games run off the SD card or do they need to saved to the system's internal memory?

I remember when WWF came to town and i got to see wrestlers Chris Benoit, Jericho, Kane, Prince Albert, etc. As Chris Benoit walked down the isles he slapped many hands on his exit, mine being one.

Sorry if I sound like an ass, but this pretty much voids you entire argument.  How am I supposed to take your opinion of art seriously when you're the kind of art critic who goes to a professional wrestling matches?

Yup, it's the bead chain meter. At the end of the level, your highest bead chain is added to the level's final score.

That's what the number inside the meter signifies.  I'm wondering if there's any significance with the color changes as the meter fills up.  The meter changes from light pink to dark pink when you get a certain number of beads, but does that color change affect anything in-game such as bead bonuses, etc.?

Where's that thread about UncleBob beating his girlfriend?

I'm going to need more to go by if I'm to help you.  Can you tell me anything more about the thread in question?

Who created it?  Which forum was it posted in?  What year was it created?  Do you remember part of the title or specific wording in the first post?

nope, not as good as the real thing

Try to get close enough to the actual Starry Night in real life.  Let's see how many seconds it takes for security to tackle you to the ground.  Face it, unless you're the curator of a museum, you're not going to be able to see that level of detail in person.

and those blues and cyans can't be displayed on the monitor right. No proper cobalt color could be displayed. This is not an excuse not to visit a museum.

You'll notice I didn't say anything about color.  I just responded to your remark about texture.

aint nothing like the real thing, you can't see texture in photographs

Zoom all the way in on the photo of Starry Night and tell me you can't see texture.  It's insane!

I beat Epic Yarn last week with 100%.  I enjoyed parts of it, but other parts really seemed like a chore.  Maybe it's the way I was playing it.  After everything I heard about how the fabric look is so much more than just a graphical style, I feel a bit disappointed because I feel that's exactly all it is.  There were a few really clever parts--especially early on--that had you unzip zippers and pull strings to change the layout of the level, but they weren't nearly as prevalent as I thought they'd be.  I still think Wario Land Shake It is better.

Can anyone tell me what the colored circle that surrounds your bead streak means?  I know it fills as you collect more beads and when it goes all the way around it changes color and starts over again, but it doesn't seem to do anything that I can discern.

I'm interested in Rondo of Blood. Can someone please elaborate on "complete lack of English translation"? Is the game playable to someone who only knows English?

Yes, the game is perfectly playable despite the lack of localization.  There's a cut scene at the beginning--and probably the end, but I can't confirm since I haven't beaten it yet--that's not translated, but it's hardly required for playing the game.  You should be able to figure out what's going on anyway.  ;)
