Kotaku mentioned a discounted Player's Choice line for the Game Boy Advance that will feature games like Super Mario Advance and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga.
The Player's Choice line seems like a long-overdue idea for the GBA. Nintendo announced last week that GBA software sales were down almost a third from the year before. That means the time is ripe for the company to cut the prices on its most popular games in order to squeeze more bucks out of the system before it's completely overtaken by the DS.
QuoteI'm pretty sure Yoshi's Island is OOP, so it looks like there's hope. The other two mentioned by name are fairly easy to find new, so who's to say about those.
The tipster goes on to say that Nintendo is going to start a program called Player’s Choice for GBA Games. The first three of the discounted line-up will be Super Mario Advance: Super Mario Bros. 2, Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3, and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. The games will sell for about $20 each.
QuoteI have a hard time believing Bill isn't crapping his pants over this game. At least he would be. If he were wearing any.
Cooking Mama looks to take you through all the stages of cooking, from selecting and preparing the ingredients to presentation at the dinner table.

As the 16-bit war progressed, Genesis quickly became the system of choice for teenage males. The Genesis was cool, while the Super NES (with its soft chunky greys and violets) was regarded as a "kid_die system." It was an image bolstered largely by Sega's new mascot, Sonic the Hedgehog, whose slick blue moves made Mario seem dumpy and childish by comparison. … Nintendo had a hammerlock on the surreal, candy-like, linear RPG-loving tastes of Japanese gamers, but the sleek black Genesis console and its no-nonsense approach to the art of video gaming appealed to the western teens who had grown up with the NES. It's become a cliche, but Nintendo refused to "grow up" with its gamers….

[Sonic The Hedgehog] helped Sega claim victory in the 16-bit console war.
QuoteWhile I don't think it will be profitable, I can at least see reasoning behind the Xbox Next PC. However, releasing one version with no HD and the other two with, seems rather ludicrous. Fragmenting your consumer base right from the get-go seems insane. No developer is going to want to use any significant HD-only features if half the install base won't be able to use them.
The standard Xbox Next will not include a hard drive, which will allow Microsoft to cut costs on this basic unit. Xbox Next HD, as you might imagine, does include a hard drive and will offer increased functionality based on this. Xbox Next PC is, according to the presentation, an entry-level PC that runs Windows and all standard PC software.
Quotei find it strangely funny that many of us speculated that nintendo's exciting new product that was announced a month ago would be a nes or snes system along the lines of the ique. as we all know, it turned out to be the ds. but that hasn't stopped sega from releasing its own version of the fabled nes/snes controller-system.
The multi game console will plug directly into the television and allow users to play seven of Sega's most popular Genesis games that are pre loaded onto the system.
