So if this thing can indeed run the Cryengine, it can run the unreal engine?Oh god, I'm such a noob. What the eff' is the Cryengine?
Yeah, we know. You don't like it so everybody else is wrong.Oh yes, and while I'm at it I'm currently enjoying Sin & Punishment 2 more then the first Gears Of War.
And before anyone jumps on me for jumping to judgment, he's the one who's making conclusions based on guesses. They don't like money?
Sounds to me like someone got their feeling hurt (just enough to sound a little bitter) that Nintendo wasn't banging on their door in the middle of the night months ago to personally hand them a dev kit and beg for support.Considering the fact that all they ever do is bitch about Nintendo, methinks Nintendo shrugging them off is a big well deserved "Well **** you too Epic".
I was hoping for a Bullet Storm and Gears of War portable game. Bummer!Yes, the 3DS needs over-rated third person shooters that are not that great to begin with.
If this game has extreme replay value (think SMB), ramps up in difficulty towards the end, and has plenty of secret levels and items to collect, it'll easily be my GOTY.THIS.
It's probably not what you're thinking. The main map is basically like the first game's, except it rotates. The individual world maps are similar to New Super Mario Bros. Wii.And I am thankful for this. DKC1's map system was ugly as hell. Despite being the same, I thought DKC2 has awesome looking maps... then they ruined them in the GBA port.
From that IGN articleWhile that's all well and good, let's not forget this makes handheld game development cost more.
QuoteNumerous developers working on software for the platform have likened its graphical capabilities to current-generation consoles like the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, albeit on smaller, lower-resolution screens.
Even though I saw footage of some really awesome looking games, I never really believed what I was reading in the forums about the graphical power. But if developers are really saying it is even somewhat like the current PS360 graphics then I think we can expect great things from next gen Nintendo home console.
I buy more handheld games then console games since handheld games are less expensive first run.And correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that adults flock to plenty of handheld games; Brain Age springs to mind.
You're right.
I wasn't saying that the handheld market is just catering to the younger demographics in Japan. It actually is quite a diverse demographic market for the handheld in Japan.
What I was trying to say is that I'm sure Inafune has noticed that the diversity of demographics for home console software has waned.
Well read some more then. The original was some sort of strange amalgam of Kirby's Dream Course and snowboarding (called Kirby Ball 64 / Kirby Bowl 64), but the project changed direction several times before being canceled.Looks like it.
I actually went into a GameStop last weekend and more or less debunked that report. I got them to look it up in the system, and there's no mention of the 3DS in their system, which is the same system used in every store.GameStop is so funny sometimes.
I'm so happy that I am not the only one that remembers the cancelled Gamecube game. Such a tragic loss.Getting back to Kirby's Epic Yarn, I'm happy for specific sections to be supplemented with tilting, as I personally enjoyed how it was done in Wario Land, NSMB Wii and the two Galaxy games.
Mentioning tilting makes me wish that ill-fated Kirby's Tilt 'N Tumble game would come out. It could be a perfect fit for Wii or even using a 3DS (which I believe has tilt detection) in tandem with a Wii.
Whatever the reason, clearly more effort needs to be made to get Japan to convert over to the Metroid system.
Only if it's advertising effort. The franchise couldn't withstand another Sakamoto ass-raping.
I've seen another PSM commercial this weekend, Sony paid Warner Bros. Interactive to focus on the PlayStation 3 version of The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest (which supports PSM). It still seems like they could be doing more to support it.Let's face reality, are the same people who denonuce the Wii so many times over going to really buy an obvious knock off?
I haven't played MGS4, but all the reviews and talk I read said that it nicely wrapped up all of the loose story plots the existing games had.HAHAHAHAHAHA
