Actually, I've done one better: I put that image onto a shirt. It is quite the attention-grabber.

So, yeah, I've already paid once to put that image onto something so it would be nice to get a poster for free.

I want to see you in that picture. sir. no picture = you lie

IGN: Club Nintendo seems to be a genuine success in the US, especially with the reveal of the two premiums for the loyal users. But we have to ask: what's next for Club Nintendo? We're holding onto our points for some good items, so when can we expect the item list to get a refresh?

Denise Kaigler: Well, we can't announce new specific items until all the details have been locked down. Sometimes that's frustrating to us as well, since we want to get the news to Nintendo fans as soon as we know about it.

One great reward that most of your readers probably already know about is the downloadable Doc Louis's Punch-Out!! game, which will be available exclusively to Club Nintendo members who have reached Platinum status. It was developed specially for North America, and will be available for download by the end of November. (Of course this applies only to those members who reached Platinum status by June 30 and who chose the game as their reward during the redemption period in July and August.) From what the Club Nintendo folks here tell me, "it's going to be pretty awesome."

Because you asked, I wouldn't dare let this Nintendo Minute expire without leaving you with one, albeit small, piece of insider information about Club Nintendo. Keep your eyes on the Club Nintendo Web site in September. That's when we will offer members some exclusive Nintendo artwork. For the reason I mentioned earlier, I can't say any more than that right now – it's a secret to everybody. I'm really sorry. Hopefully some of you will enjoy it. Others may choose to hang on to the Coins and wait for a different reward. I love surprises. I hope you do as well. :)

great episode guys. i laughed allot. i was playing metroid prime (trilogy) as I listened.

I'm a winner ! My letter was played on the show  ;D ;D :D :D :D

I'm surprised as I play the game and how much the graphics really hold up. Seriously the art direction is so fantastic. Maybe it's the progressive mode and widescreen but the Phendrana Drifts are just so gorgeous.

General Chat / Video Killed the Radio Star : 30 years later
« on: August 30, 2009, 01:10:59 PM »
30 years ago the song ' video killed the radio star '

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWtHEmVjVw8

Has it really ?

I have 496 songs and of those songs I have maybe seen a handful of the music video versions. I can see the video versions but I don't really want to. most music videos are just crazy random **** tossed on the screen that may or may not have any relation with the lyrics or the song. Many of the songs I do have are from video games so technically they don't have a music video. Regardless I was the generation that grew up with music videos and music TV ( MTV) and I hate both.

I'm just curious what everyone else thought on this subject matter

i hope with all this time they really make a bigger game or have the sequels ready to release in a regular basis.

Either way I'm excited I very much enjoyed the original and I think this sounds pretty good so far.

1233
So I played this with some friends and had a lot of fun with it. Probably more fun that with the original WS game. I played the sword fighting, frisbee golf and dog fighting.

Dog fighting instantly made me want bot a Pilotwings game and a Star Fox game with the same controls. Especially Star Fox.

i know your talking about airplane dog fight but in my mind i pictured the cute mii dogs battling like pokemon.

screw you guys.

1235
i like some subtle things they did to the game.

important scans are dark red so you can avoid the stuff you don't care about.

I also like the little female voice ' added to logbook'. pretty neat. I wish it came from the wii speaker instead of the tv speakers it gets drowned out majority of the time.  having it come from wiispeaker would have been nice to make you feel more like your samus.

The widescreen display is very nice. I wonder how I played this game before .

it looks like a cool game. I actually am curious about playing with motion controls. I know it won't be as pretty as PC version but it might be more fun on Wii

I think this is one of the those things that is cool in theory, but I doubt it will ever be well executed.

yeah i agree.

It's odd because Nintendo is so Japan Friendly, and American Football is not that popular in that part of the world.

With all of the various incarnations of Tetris, there really isn't much else they can do with the concept in 2D. I think it's time to go back to exploring the third dimension. Tetrisphere for the Nintendo 64 is the best puzzle game ever, and there's still so much more they could do with it especially on the Wii.

i loved that game too

So did anyone get this today?

Also, if they did from GS, what does the poster look like?

and

I like the horizontal one.

See the Wiimote that's for scale.

also here is the horizontal one. this isn't an actual picture but the actual art

http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/videogames/promos/metroid_limited_poster_600w.jpg

the poster is Double sided. So you pick what side you want to show and what you want to hide

i'm going to take a shower and i'll use my webcam to show you after.

You can still pre-order the game and get the T-shirt and Poster at Gamestop.
I dropped by today and bought the game. They said to pick it up TOMORROW. They actually had the goodies and I took them home after I pre-ordered.

The shirt is XL   ;D which is perfect.

TalkBack / Re: REVIEWS: Metroid Prime Trilogy
« on: August 24, 2009, 07:25:15 PM »
It is great to see Nintendo put out a collection that is truly enhanced. Rarely do the same games I played before make me want to play them again in a collection but with the new controls, upgraded visuals, achievements (worthwhile achievements), and cohesive package makes for something I really want to play again!

gamestop really helped too.

Free T-shirt and Free poster and Nintendo put a metal box and art.

makes me think nintendo might do this to other games. Zelda Twilight Princess :  Collectors Edition ( wii motion plus control, fixed up textures, harder difficulty mode, full orchestrated music . I would buy it

because of this review i am buying this game asap.

i intended to buy it eventually but know i know my money will be worth while.

1244
a really fun trailer.

mario snowboarding. who didn't see that coming?

I wonder if all the control problems in the original will be fixed . i know it doesn't use motion plus but are they making games that don't really need waggle.

1245
Gametrailers put up an interesting 7-minute video interview with some of the Prime Trilogy staff, where they mostly talk about aspects of the first Metroid Prime.  What's especially interesting, though, is that they mention a few upgrades they've done for the Trilogy set.  Most notably, they mention swapping out some textures for higher resolution ones as well as "small changes" made to a few bosses (the video immediately flashes to footage of the Boost Guardian after this), which indicates that they may have tweaked some bosses to make them a little easier.
[size=9]BOYCOTT!

I beat the boss , but it was still a bitch to do and was frustrating so I agree with the idea.

Damn Nintendo releasing this the first week of college. This is such a great package, and I would love all the goodies in the package. I don't need it..................ggrrrrrr

 Y ?

I know Tetris DS is hard to find, but once you do it's worth keeping. I actually think infinite spin gives the player an edge. I managed to get to level 55 on that game and make like 2 million points on infinite marathon one day. Several times I almost died and I survived because of this spinning mechanic. in other Tetris games the game would become IMPOSSIBLE for a human to react. This evens up the playing field. I consider it a major set up. I equal it to holding/switching blocks.

I enjoyed Tetris Party allot even if it's a little bland in presentation. The large selection of modes and different multiplayer options really are well designed.

I don't see a real need for any other Tetris games on Wii or DS.

Wii need some Ms. Pac-man added to this list, to make the Galaga/Ms. Pac-man set.  Thanks.

I actually want the Pac Man Championship Edition that is on 360 on Wii. I doubt that game is to big for Wii and from what I heard it's super fun
