I want new, better prizes.  Now!

How would you feel if they take off EVERYTHING that is old, and only have new stuff. If you didn't order the stuff in the past they are gone forever. Would like that or no?

This question is for everyone btw

Wait a minute. Balance Board only? Did you mean for this specific demo or has Sega now announced that is the only controller support they are giving to Step & Roll? I could have sworn I remember them mentioning it was optional and the Wii Remote would be compatible. I hope so, because I feel the Remote gives more precise feedback, which is especially important for a game like Super Monkey Ball.

I agree. If no wiimote the least they could do is Lets Tap box support !!

i ordered them too. I was wondering if they would actually put the new art that was promised.

I'm totally keeping both Twilight Princess and Zelda History posters. I might resurrect my ebay account and sell the animated zelda one. I'm not a fan of the CELDA. Not really against the style but I found Wind Waker to easy and i hated sailing. I heard to many reports that PH is watered down and has a stupid oceans thing. So I'm not a fan of the direction cartoon zelda is taking the franchise. I loved Twilight Princess however

i was hoping Nintendo would be smart and rename it . "super mario brothers 5 " .

I was hoping nintendo would do more than $50. A demo disk of games would be great or free wiipoints.

i'm not really playing my Wii right now because I'm at college. However it does suck that 11 Wiiware games, and 31 Virtual Console games are now unavailable because I don't have my SD card anymore.

You can always re-download them.

Dorm wifi refuses to play nice with game consoles of any kind.

Well i'm reassured. Thank You.

So i went Saturday to print some pictures at CVS. I took my SD card that I uploaded all my Virtual Console and Wiiware games . So I return home and I have no clue where the SD card is. I called CVS and they didn't find it. I just put the SD card in my pocket so I'm guessing it might have fallen out or maybe I forgot it and somebody kept it from for themselves. I checked all around my dorm room and I didn't see it. I'll check inside my truck again but I think the SD card is gone for good.

The good news is I did back up my data on my Mac. I don't remember the last time I did. so i might need to download a few games. however the vast majority if not 100% of the data is backed up in a folder on my hard drive. So I don't have to re-download EVERYTHING.   However I am more worried about saved data, since I only used the SD card for those games. I used the SD card to ' launch the games' so I don't have any of those games on the Wii itself. All the Wiiware and VC save data is on the the Wii itself not the SD card correct ?

Is the SD card linked to the Wii in any way ? If I rebuy a SD card will I will be able to just move the data from my mac to the new sd and play Or will the Wii not like it ??

That's a weird ass release date. I wonder if they are gunning for people to buy it with cash from returned Christmas presents.

Gift cards to the rescue !!

after so long, after assuming it was dead. i am still shocked to actually see it THIS YEAR.

TalkBack / Re: Wii Price Drop in the First Week of October?
« on: September 14, 2009, 12:38:01 AM »
Actually, I'll disagree with that one, UncleBob.  Nintendo's initial idea with the Wii was to create gaming hardware that was fun to play, but would be affordable.  The Wii is intentionally not "HD" so consumers can afford it.  Had Nintendo had the $17 Billion Dollars, we would have merely seen more games available for the console upfront, and early on.

And I think that's what surprises us, as gamers:  We're not seeing an increased amount of games geared toward the traditional Nintendo gamers.  Essentially revenues generated by Nintendo's expanded audience is being invested into generating more revenue from that audience.  The same could be said about Nintendo's original audience, and the games created for them.  So if you don't appreciate both types of games, you won't see the full effects on Nintendo's new-found revenue growths.  The initial lack of funds is what created the "droughts" we saw in classic Nintendo games early on in the Wii.  Now, they're practically separate branches, most likely.

You never know. I never thought DSi was going to happen so soon. So Nintendo might surprise everyone and start releasing Wii HD this year.

FUCKEN Ice Skriekbat !! I beat Prime 1 and I got 99% scans. I look it up and I missed this. I look it up and they didn't fix this problem. The pal version apparently fixed it, but the Trilogy edition didn't. GRRRRRRRRRRRR >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

$200 with Resort/MotionPlus would be a wicked deal for the holidays, but I don't think the new SKU will be that lucrative.

I don't know about that jonny. Nintendo needs to give them an incentive to buy more and new software. Most of the casual gamers may only buy the game for wiisports, and than get wiiplay, and wiisports resort, and maybe wiifit. Nintendo knows software is where profit is really made and they need to get them into the stores to buy more, more , more.

My idea.

1. $199.99 price tag
2. More console colors: Black, Pink
3. Include a demo disk that has the following: playable demos: New Mario wii, Mario galaxy, smash brothers, metroid trilogy, zelda twilight princess, carnival games Videos: Wiifit, The Conduit, Rabbids go home, Silent Hill Shattered Memories, Wii Sports Resort, Madden 10
4. 5 minute demo of Super Mario Brothers 1 on the Wii menu: Virtual Console. - Have a video: Want more download it at wiishop channel
5. 5 Minute demo of Tetris Party on the Wii menu: Wiiware - Have a video: Want more ? Download it at wiishop channel
6. Include internet channel in the main menu
7. make up a 1000 point Nintendo points card. Put in all the boxes
8. Add DVD movie watching channel

I think doing all those things will make for a worthy new package.

So what should I listen to next week in place of RFN?

I highly recommend Filmspotting. For gaming? Try the Giant Bombcast. I think it's the one closest to RFN in style, although there are lots of differences too.

what about the NWR News podcast ? We haven't had one of those in a while.

Plenty of people read their horoscopes daily so why not make the Wii become even more a part of the daily routine?

A fitting megaton for 09.09.09 :P

10 years since Dreamcast. Who could have predicted back then what is happening today ?

My idea for Mario Lost levels 2

1222
I think M&L, Scribblenauts is more likely to receive a pricedrop later.

It's only $30. This isn't 360 games where you wait 2 months and it goes $20 down.

1223
So assuming you had the money for only one ds game this month. Which one would you pick and why ? A first party Nintendo game based on a well known and overall enjoyable franchise or a new 3rd party game with a totally unique idea that hasn't been proven yet.

NO COP OUT's. You either vote for one game or you don't vote.

=================================================
=================================================

I never would have expected to be more hyped for a 3rd party ' experimental ' game but I am very hyped for Scribblenauts. I originally bought my DS for unique ideas and this without a doubt is one. I loved the first Mario & Luigi game but the 2nd one was so mediocre it killed my hype for this game.  :-\
However this game does look unique from the other two games and looks like a ton of fun.

Scribblenauts just seems like pure unique fun. Something you show off to friends and family and something you could play allot of without getting bored of. It might not work out with the final game but it's just something I cannot ignore and have to try on my own.  ;D :D

i'm sort of worried about buying this. They already said that the series will continue on 360 / PS3 that means i would be forced to buy one of those other consoles. Which isn't a horrible thing by any means but after 2 games it will be used to the controls and i'll have to play 3 and others with different controls.

My review.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZQ7LLeuZWQ

I just got to phazon mines. I saved and thought ' oh man this was a bitch before..."

i sort of wish you could scan the corpse of a fallen boss and re fight him and scan him again if you didn't before. SOme of the boss battles were tons of fun.

I'm getting annoyed with changing beams. I rather they just mapped it to the control pad and I use missles with the plus button. Speaking of them, I feel missiles in prime series are WAY to slow. In 2d metroid you can shoot missiles like regular fire, in prime you got like a 4 second delay between shoots.
