This must be some pretty impressive 3D. Can't wait for June 15th.

Wow. $15 to play part of the game or pay $8 at Blockbuster to try the entire game. Hmmm

153
If he likes retro games I'd recommend Geometry Wars Galaxies for Wii. You could probably find it for ten bucks now.

So what does this strange group of developers "enjoy" then?

I just played Dead Space Extraction and I would give it a 9/10. I was a little hesitatnt towards the game at first because it was a rail shooter, but I warmed up to it once I played the first couple of hours. Graphically the game is amazing, but the game play does get a little repetitive going through countless dark corridors with necromorphs jumping out at you. The game does this for suspense and there were times when I ws cought off guard in the dark parts of the game.

Did playing the game ever put this expression on your face(the gal's expression)?

I think GOW3 and Uncharted 2 both deserves the killer app to buy the console badge (though I've only played the GOW demo).  However, with GOW 3, I'd be more comfortable recommending that game to buy the ps3 b/c its an easier game to get into, as you can button mash your way through an easy mode and see all sorts of crazy sh$$.  The scale of the game, just makes your jaw drop and thank the gods for such a spectacular experience.  Its blows Dante's Inferno away, and I really enjoy Dantes Inferno.  It reminds me of the first time I saw Resident Evil on PSone and thought, I've got to get a PSone.  Speaking of, has anyone picked up the remastered Res Evil on the PSN?

Slightly off topic.  I used to live near Hoffman Estates.  I can't imagine making fun games there.  The town is soulless.  They should pick up shop and develop in the heart of Chicago, or even Wrigleyville would be better.  The most inspiring thing near Hoffman Estates is the Woodfield Mall, former Mall of America.  If that doesn't work, move to San Francisco or LA, that way they can at least hire some new blood.

Take your Conduit and shove it where the sun don't shine. That's not a quality game.

Exactly. And people wonder why I've always considered Reggie a schmuck. Know yor product sir. The Conduit is neither mature nor quality.  Do us all a favor and go back to the horrendous light rock music channel you came from.

Making a good baseball game for the Wii shouldn't be this hard. I think the problem here is 2k is still living in the past. Time to build a completly new baseball game if you want the motion controls to work.

Alright. I've got to get this game now. I've never been much of a beat em fan nor have I played any other GOW game but I played the demo yesterday and it absolutely blew me away.

163
I recommend Peanut Butter Capn Crunch with milk.  Oh, pancakes cook well with it too.

164
I wonder if Galaxy 2 will unlock a character if you beat it.  Wario would probably be the most obvious choice, and of course, the best choice.

Nice work Stogi.  Reminds me of a cross between Daft Punk and 70's rock band art.

When your one liners are as good as his, you can get away with anything. That line about Sega CD had me LOLing like crazy. Wish I would have thought of it. He must have a staff of writers living with him. No way he comes up with all those crazy jokes himself.

It'll be able to compete because teh casuals won't be able to comprehend why a Wii 2 exists, let alone buy one. Unless Wii 2 offers some entirley new experience like virtual reality I just can't see Nintendo hitting the jackpot again. Meanwhile core gamers will be salivating over the next power house console, ready to make a day one purchase.

Dante's Inferno - 7/10 - most of the Circles of Hell are well-designed (except for a couple at the end of the game, where it's obvious the developers ran out of time and money) and beautiful in a grotesque sort of way,

I agree.  I had a lot of fun with it, and found some of the low reviews it received rather puzzling.  Sure it copies GOW, but lets not get all high and mighty, the vast majority of games copy each other.  I think reviewers crucified this one b/c it was one of the first games to blatantly rip GOW.  But look at the new Sonic racer.  Its receiving mighty praise for ripping off the Mario Kart formula.  It seems reviewers are letting that slide for Sonic since so many others have tried to copy Mario Kart and failed.  That said, I'd give Dante about the same score and encourage others to try it.

Oh yeah, saw this today on Joystiq.  Figured I'd post it since we were just talking about Wave Race.  Looks like the PSN is getting a water sport game similar to Wave Race, but its wake boarding, and it looks pretty slow.  Its from the same folks who made Smash Cars, a very mediocre Excitetruck + Mario Kart type game.  So I'm not expecting much, but you never know.  Link to trailer --> http://www.joystiq.com/2010/03/15/wakeboarding-hd-splashes-onto-psn-this-month/1#c26258023

I played the demo for 360...it sucks. It's pretty and all, but Mario Kart it is not, also the framerate is horrible.

Maybe you just weren't very good at it. I can see how that would ruin the experience.

Really D_Average? Because I didn't like the first MotorStorm.

I'd say so. First one was a bit rushed. The tracks and graphics are much more detailed in the sequel. But be warned, the game gets balls hard towards the end.

Yeah, Seth was a real WTF.  The game was so well executed and then you get to Seth.  Generic and cheap as all hell.
