I finally beat Super Macho Man, wahoo!  But to my disappointment, I now have to go back and beat the Major and World Circuits without losing in order to open the final circuit, doh!

Ah, you know what I do remember this now. One of my friends was able to unlock that circuit on my cart and I was never able to beat the second guy in that circuit. Man ... I really need to boot that game back up.

Yeah, I think there was also some kind of cheat to open it as well.  Holding down L and R when the Nintendo logo popped up or something like that.

And yes, IMO that second guy, the old man with the cane, is definitely the hardest character in the game.  Once I knocked him off, I beat the Bruiser brothers without too much of a fight.

I breezed through the first 2 circuits, but that hippie in the third took me out a few times before I made it to Mach Man who completely destroyed me.

Hah, I got as far as Dragon Chan in Super Punch-Out! today.  Didn't play for long, primarily because of college papers to write, but wow...SPO is much more difficult than the original game.  Good stuff!

Not bad.  I made it to Super Macho Man and was absolutely obliterated!

Anyone up for creating a Super Punch Out Time Attack sticky thread now that its out on the VC?  We could post the 3 best times or so on each fighter.  Forum members could send in a pic to validate their time.

I nominate you.  Also, I fully endorse this idea.

If no one else will, I will.  It'll be my first sticky, so it may look like @ss.

I personally like the game.  Too much waggle combat though and wasn't varied at all..  I like the spore powers concepts, though I felt like I was playing the force unleashed at times.   Art style is absolutely amazingly AWESOME.

here's to a improved sequel, as the concept is too cool to just let the franchise to fade away.

I agree.  I was finally able to sink some time into the game yesterday, and I absolutely loved the style and soundtrack.  However, the waggle and camera system have got to go!  I mean, they're abysmal.  On top of this, while the levels themselves are pretty cool, the actual design and platforming leave a bit to be desired.  At the end of the day this game reminds me of a Clayfighter type IP.  Great idea and design, but the actual execution leave a LOT to be desired.

Anyone else ever seen this YouTube/Gamer/Preacher's videos?  I can't figure out if he's for real, or if this is some intense satire.  Anyway, its not really funny per say, but it is kind of like watching a train wreck, can't help but look.

Just moved Super Mario RPG to my SD card, accessed it from the new channel, and it picked up right where I left off.  Well done, Nintendo.

Wii and DSi Channel has been down for about 5 hours just checked and it's still down. Maybe they are coinciding something with Iwata's keynote today.

If it comes back up with New Super Mario Bros 2 on WiiWare, I will forgive them all their transgressions in 2008.

Pshh

It's all about the MADNESS.

My team (Purdue) is in the sweet 16! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA It's been so long since they were any good. Now they face UCONN. It's going to be a hell of a game.

Meh.  I just watch the last 5 min of any close game.  If decent, but its not football.  There's been talk at this year's meeting of extending the season to 18 games, that would be SWEET!!

Back to NCAA though, I got 14/16 correct for the Sweet Sixteen.

Anyone find that they've been playing Madden MORE now that the season is over?  I just can't get into the NBA or MLB.

Rorschach was right.

Agreed.

Its rare to see such moral ambiguity in such a big movie.
This is probably what made me like the movie...the idea that humans are not entirely good or evil and that life is about choices...we make them, for whatever reason, and then we have to deal with the consequences. People always fault DC characters for being one dimensional or overpowered, but those critics should consider the Watchmen.

Haha, the more I think about it, the more I have to agree with Ozy, and the more I know I have a friend who would totally be on the side of Rorschach.

Like you, I identify most with Ozy. However, if the situation actually existed, I would follow in Rorschach's footsteps.

Not me, I would have gone the way of Night Owl.  Getting the girl without the hassle of exterminating millions to save billions.     8)

Night Owl was a pussy

True.  A bit bland as well.

I would lie about it in that exact situation, then go through with it later on!

And bring the world back into utter Armageddon?  For shame GP, for shame....

This game is really, really, accessible fun. It's a unique twist on TD.... and it's perfectly sized for portable on-the-go gaming. I just got a copy and played it obsessively till I beat it during bus rides and before sleeping.

well said
