Anyone ever tried Yerba Mate or Kratom to perk up instead of caffeine?  For some reason Yerba Mate has no effect on me at all, but Kratom is a decent alternative.

Anyone ever heard of the Retro Duo Twin NES and SNES Console?  If this thing actually works, it seems like a pretty good deal, forty bones for 2 systems in 1.

This song is a couple years old, but I just recently discovered it.  Any fan of the 80's new wave sound should dig this.

You inspired me to bust out my French Press this week.  The coffee is easily 3x taster than from my machine.  Fresh and no hint of an ashy taste the machine can sometimes generate.

Though if we can't watch the polls in the future I will be very sad indeed.

Same here.  Considering football doesn't start for another few months, there's just not much else to cheer for.

Looks like Super Ghouls is going to win.  Just how hard is it?  I remember renting it in 5th grade and liking it, but its been a long time.  I haven't actually played any of the games in prep for the show, and I may play this one if it wins.  Has anyone beat it recently?

Here's the first video I found on YouTube.  Doesn't look that bad.  ;)

Hmm, looks slower than I remember.  And man, what's with getting stripped down to your briefs while you're fighting the monsters.  If that isn't survival horror I don't know what is.

Seriously though, playing through this in just 1 week? It must've taken me about 2 months to fully complete (to be fair most of it was that bloody boss - the final boss was peanuts compared to him) and I was on the lowest difficulty!

Oh shnap, two months!  I don't know if I can make that commitment!  I'm going to watch a few videos of it on the tube to see if I get coaxed into buying it.

Popped into my local Blockbuster on my way home from work.  Turns out the store doesn't even sell new games.  What a waste of 5 minutes of my time.

Thats weird.  Do they even sell used games?

Anyone want to fill me in with what's happening with the Saints?

Not looking too good for them.  They're in a tough division now that Atlanta and Carolina have the game back, and they play a stretch of 4 out of 5 games on the road to teams very capable of slowing down Brees and Shockey.  Not to be a party pooper but I see them winning 7 games at best.

I am so excited for that game, but the current plan is to go around November, so it's out of the question.

Regardless, I hope Cutler does you guys enough good that it makes each Packers/Bears game interesting. With the Packers winning, of course.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to it as well.  I'm actually very curious to see how Rodgers performs this year now that the Farve drama is over and the onus is on their D to improve.  Should be a good match up, with the Bear winning of course.

Oh, and don't think I haven't forgotten about Atlanta Lindy.  Revenge will be sweet this year on Week 6, prime time buddy, no squibs kicks this time, and hopefully no cover 2 either!

Pale, you're making a lot of assumptions about a game that hasn't been shown publicly since last July.

Because, you know, no one else is making assumptions about the game we know next-to-nothing about. ;)

I predict a Metacritic score of 82.  The last game received a 76.  Since then, reviewers have warmed up just a bit.

Anyone who's expecting to have a personal relationship with a multi-billion dollar international company is setting themselves up for fail.

Not so.  I DO have a "personal relationship" with Nintendo.  I invited them into my home in 1985 and ever since then, they've spoken to me through their turtle shells and question marks.  Ask them, and you shall indeed receive those trips to Nintendo HQ's.

I believe I am your counter.

Go Pack Go!

I might be going to game at Lambeau this year, so I'm excited. Looks like if I do go, I might see the 49ners or the Cowboys.

You should game to the opening game.  Just got done watching Total Access and that's the number one most anticipated game, Bears V Packers, Sunday night!

Well, its that time of year again!  The 2009 schedule has just been released, so get your popcorn ready and take a look!

As a Bears fan, I couldn't be more excited.  Our first game is against Green Pay, on Sunday Night, the premier of Jay Cutler as a Bear!  We've gone through 20 or so QB's since Farve began with the pack, and our chances seem good that we've got a long term solution.

As far as expectations, anything less than the playoffs is a complete failure.  Last year, we were one game away, or should I say one play away (err...stupid squib kick to Atlanta...grrr) from making it in.  This year, our schedule is one of the easiest in the league.  We face only 7 teams who had a winning schedule last year and 5 of those games are at home.  As far as our division, each team still has its own mess to worry about.   This is a huge opportunity for the Windy City after a couple years of mediocrity.

Nah, didn't play the first one.  I didn't own the PS2, and I didn't pick up the Wii until late 2007 and there were too many other games I wanted to play instead.

Koopa paragraph weird spacing wall of text of doom scares me!

I'll be honest I haven't gotten around to playing RE5 yet for my PS3 (I got the special edition and I love the extras then again I am addicted to CEs like a certain boss man at NWR). Right now I'm enjoying Godfather 2, but if Halbred wants to play sometime maybe we can!

So Godfater 2 is decent?  I hope so, as I love the movies.  As I ate breakfast this morning I saw X Play poo poo all over it.  Its seems the main complaint was mission tasks were very monotonous and repetitive.

Well let me put it this way, if you enjoyed the first game, you'll enjoy the second game. It has more then enough new stuff to warrant a purchase and it maintains the good stuff from the first game (like taking over businesses). Putting together a team with various skill sets definitely ads a new layer to the game. Missions can be completed in more then one way now (for example if you rob a bank instead of breaking in through the front door you can blow wall that least to the inside of the vault from the outside).

Good to hear.  I'm definitely going to give it a rental first just in case, but I'm sure I'll enjoy regardless as I'm a fan of the movie series.

What are you going to say?  "Yeah, used to be a Nintendo fan... but then they made games I didn't like.  They might stop making games you like too.  And give you STDs."?

It's like a pizza joint. If I use to like their pizzas, but now they make disgusting pizzas, I'm going to tell everyone that they make disgusting pizzas. That's why managers are so quick to apologize.

Are you referring to Papa Johns?  Come on now, they're not so bad, I used to flip pizzas there.
