I wonder if they'll package it with any rx meds to assist in calming or speeding up the gamer as needed.

Overall the entire NBA sucks.  There were only a few interesting teams in the entire league.

Yeup.  And the sad truth is it doesn't have to.  Its managed very poorly.  David Stern sucks at life.

UGGG.  THis is going to be a BORING series.  The West is the best.  My God, the East had teams in the playoffs that weren't in 500.

Unless it scores a Metacritic average of 97 or above, I'm not buying.  Thats my cutoff.  And I sincerely hope is does, as I'm getting tired of playing Mario Galaxy over and over and over.

Oh man.  I think I'm scared for life now.  I've got a pretty good imagination, and that was VERY specific.

Anyway, I think that was for real, and could only be the work of one mildly famous internet perv.  Mark Bozon.

I'm the same way and when i first read that (it was linked to on a Gonintendo comment.. lol) i didn't wanna think of SMB ever again. I relate SMB to my childhood and the last thing i wanted in life is having that tainted with the thought of some creepy dude doing any of that to someone playing the game. Hell i don't even wanna think of the type of guy that THINKS IT UP ugh

In fact, if you've noticed.. i've never posted any comments on the Super Mario Bros Wii thread lol

AHAHAHA.  Oh Crap.   I'm screwed.

Hopefully, some others will take the bait.

"Unlike Mario Kart and Excitebots, I held the Remote pointed forward and twisted my wrist left and right to turn. "

Interesting, sort of a Rad Racer/Power Glove approach.  Did you play Carbon on the Wii at all?  Would you say the controls were improved?  Do the tracks seem a bit wider like in Mario Kart to accommodate the motion controls?

Super Mario Galaxy hard?  Wha??  I actually took a DECADE off of video games, then Galaxy came out and sucked me back in.  I had no trouble with the difficulty.  Guess I'm just awesome.

Wow, I'm really impressed by the visual style in the game.  I'm surprised more people aren't excited.  One bummer though, no multiplayer right?

TalkBack / Re: Nintendo Press Conference Live Blog

for me

Nintendo>  >  >Sony> MS

I wasn't particularly blown away by any of the three conferences, but Nintendo is the only one that seem to leave me wanting and expecting more.
and from everything shown games wise, Metroid Gaiden was my game of the conferences.

From a potential sales perspective it goes:

Nintendo >>> MS >> Sony    (I think we all know why.  Wii Fit will continue to rock it, consumers will balk at the PSP, and MS will continue to move units)

From a presentation standpoint it goes:

Nintendo >>> MS >> Sony  (Most would put MS on top, but I subtracted 250 points for the pretentious wanna be soulless Tom Cruis knock off, in addition to "Kudo" acting like he just invented the internet.  And Sony, well, aside from the live Uncharted and GOW3 demo, it was just dry.)

From a "games for the core" perspective it goes:

Depends what you're looking for.  Yay, everyone wins  ;D

Final Tally:

That said, considering Nintendo wins 2, and its a best of 3 series, they are the undisputed winner of the "Make Believe Best in Show contest".  Not bad Nindy, not bad.

It may not be in this game, but Suda wants to use the new Wii peripheral you stick you ____ into.

And this my friends, is why Suda is awesome.  While the masses stand in confusion, Suda goes to work.  He gets it.

Maybe they're just having trouble coming up with a good plot and setting.  Any ideas?

People were joking when they cheered for Hannah.  And as far as Felicia, I'll take her any day over Cammie.

Man, Gizmodo really nailed it, concerning an obvious omissions on the PSP Go:

What I Hated:
• The start/select buttons are just a waste of space on the controller. They could have been stuck anywhere. Instead, they spite you, taking up the spot that the second analog should be. Also, these two buttons simply don't feel as premium as the rest of the device.

After the initial excitement, and looking more in depth at the in game footage thus far, I'm a bit concerned.  Obviously, the level lay outs need to be wider, like Mario Kart Wii to accommodate the new players, but the platforming looks a bit bland compared to the other Mario Bros games.  Almost reminds me of what a Mario Bros level would like like if you could create your own.  The reason why Mario Bros will always be the top performer is they understood you had to carefully construct the jumps, tubes, and other obstacles to create a level that has a rhythm to it.

Hopefully, later videos to come will put these fears to rest.

Nintendo Gaming / Pikmin 3
« on: June 02, 2009, 08:18:45 PM »
Its coming folks, its coming:

IGN: You didn't show Pikmin 3, which is what we were expecting you to show. That kind of surprised us. Why not?

Reggie: Matt, we're all about surprises. We will show that game when it's ready. At the right time. Close to when it's going to be launched. It's not there yet. But Mr. Miyamoto still has his roundtable to do, so maybe you'll see. Maybe you might get that surprise after all.

Prediction, Miyamoto will be surrounded by Pikmin at the roundtable.  They will slap those who ask stupid questions.

I would LOVE to see NIN.  Downward Spiral is in my top five albums of the 90's.  In fact, just a few minutes ago, I was singing my own lounge version of Mr. Self Destruct.

When they showed the trailer I was secretly hoping it'd be a 64 sequel, but I'll take what I can get!
What exactly would qualify as a sequel to Super Mario 64? How was Super Mario Sunshine not a sequel to Super Mario 64? How is Super Mario Galaxy by extension not a sequel to Super Mario 64?

Technically it is.  But I want another castle centric game with similar worlds from 64.  But at the end of the day, Galaxy and 64 are very similar, so I'm excited for this.
