ThePerm the harvesting is a matter of just selecting any item in that list that hasn't been taken yet and that gives you a chance to find Jamie and have them join your side if they accept your proposal. At the moment you can select 5 items at once but you may decide to wait to obtain them till later on in the day so you can select more items. A lot of folks are using it to roleplay and it can be fun that way.

As for the results of the day I guess I got my wish on Mop it up being voted out for what she pulled last game but it was unfortunate she wasn't a mafia member. Also pokepal getting killed by the Mafia is interesting as I was planning on voting him out on day 3 for not trusting me about Mop it up and MKBungle in our townie alliance . So it seems whoever is godfather caught up with what I was going to do with my votes.
That being said pokepal messaged me on Day 1 and said that he didn't trust Crimm and thought he was suspecious.
I was planning on voting for MK. Bungle today but I think for now till I have a better option I am voting for Crimm since it is the best lead I have. If folks want to join me they can and if enough votes are there I can switch to MK. Bungle just to feel some sort of satisfaction over last game.

Yes, you can. Selection isn't determined by when a player last selects an item. It is determined by being in a 12 hour division of the day. To illustrate, on Day 1, players could make one selection during the first 1 - 12 hours of the game. They could then make another selection in the 13 - 24 hour period of Day 1. That is because new selections are available every 12 hours. Since selection eligibility is determined by time passed in the game and not by when the player makes their choice, a player could make a selection in hour 10 of the first 12 hour period and then another selection in hour 14 of the second period. Once the clock hits hour 13 of the game, the window is now open for everyone to make a second guess. Just like now that the game has hit the 25 hour period, everyone can make a third selection. But players cannot make a 4th selection until the 37th hour of the day begins.
The idea behind these time periods is to give players in other time zones a fair shot at selecting from the Farm Goods and to provide a bit of a restriction to keep players from guessing everything right away. In the pretend world of Harvest Moon for this game, you could pretend this is the time it takes to catch a fish and then put it in a pond in your yard, to plant and water a flower or to catch or look after an animal. With the time done for that task, you can then move on to a new one.
Now, did I clarify that point for you or did I end up making it more confusing?

Did you know it is great for pollination and depending on the type it can do that through the wind while other types of lilies can be polinated by bees. So pretty.

The way the combat goes is there is multiple ways how to fight certain enemies. You can make it so you can time a sword slash on some enemies but there are other times where there is tactics which is more effective and quicker.
This is why I didn't get the complaints on the motion controls in combat. There was many ways one could fight in battle.

It has been a while since I made my Laptop from HP and it was like 600 dollars custom made from HP 7 or 8 years ago but I am guessing he would want something that can play most of the newer games while still being able to play the older games.
i used a HP Pavilion laptop and it worked well. It had a TB of space and Windows 10 64 bit. HP is good if you want a gaming laptop that can play games and stream games online and do other things.
If you want something just for games then Dell, Lenovo and Cyber Power PC are good.

Even if you don't plan to make anything, it still offers a near limitless amount of levels to play, plus it has online co-op as well.

My most recent gaming purchase was on the 1st and I got Sonic Mania for the Switch on sale of 19.99 at my local Super Target. Have'nt played it yet but I was excited for all the reviews at launch and the extra content.
Before that I got a Physical form of NBA 2K22 just before the NBA season started.
I like the Lakers and just tinkering with different lineups and how it is different from NB2K20.
Now before you ask I rarely get VC for progression. I have a system of having having two files of My League with both being the Lakers and one is current injuries and the other fully healthy. Injury file I have the CPU play against itself for 3 quarters and depending on the circumstances I take control of the Lakers and play and control the rotations. I get 1100 VC per game and I build that up to use on MyCareer file to get better.
For the healthy Lakers squad I play ahead of the games in the actual NBA schedule just to try and predict how the IRL Lakers team would preform in upcoming games.
Those are my recent game purchases.

Not a parent but a Aunt but I have a niece and nephew. My older nephew is in California and my younger niece is with my sister is in Arizona so I have more contact with my niece.
From my experience what I like to do is bring my laptop over and I have her watch me play a game that I think would interest her and then she can play it and I think that helps her visually see what I am doing in the game and then she can apply it by doing. Lots of people learn in different ways so this covers most of the bases.
She also has a Switch and 3DS so my sis and I talk about what games she might enjoy/ learn from so I give my sis advice. My sis she does have some base understanding of game but she really gets into multiplayer games. We used to play Super Monkey Ball 2 a lot. But yeah my niece is pretty smart and at times depending on what she is doing in her life I can recommend games that would bolster what she is doing IRL and expand her creativity.
As far as your questions Stratos here are my answers.
1. My play style has actually gone down a bit because of responsibilities but I do tend to play games that I can get the most content of the game in short bursts so the game last longer.
Game Preferences I think my preferences has changed in the post Wii era with my steam games. Interesting ideas, Tons of RPGs, and Individual experiences that I like with what I am doing IRL at the time.
2. My nephew he resided in Redlands, CA and me in Highland so he would come over and just play lots of Multiplayer games like Smash Melee, New Super Mario Bros Wii, Excite Bots and Sonic Riders. Fun times.
My niece I would bring my backlog of 87 games and we would play The Legend of Korra, Sonic Generations, Thomas was Alone, Gone Home, Portal, Sega Mega Drive & Genesis Collection, The Stanley Parable, Roundabout and World of Goo.
With Switch and 3DS I just enjoy watching what she wants to play.
3. In my situation currently my niece is in her preteens so I think Switch has such a vast array of games. For older systems on the Switch Online service I think the SNES has lots of titles in lots of genres but mainly RPG and that can help with puzzle solving, hand eye cordination and just enjoying the games on the service. The best part of the service is that you can dip your toes into a game and if you don't like it you can go to the next game.
4. Best family games at the ages I think are Super Mario Galaxy/ Galaxy 2, New Super Mario series and games that you play together in co-op. Reasoning because you can help the kid/teen understand the concepts of the game and the just have fun after that.

That's two mafia members in my sights on the second day.
The other person was PokePal who changed a vote for a mafia member to a townie because I didn't follow up within 30 minutes.
