I can imagine some pretty interesting scenarios where a picture from a Pikmin's point of view would be great.

You could show emotion. Like a pikmin looking at a friend who's been left behind. Awww...

Last time I checked, the game looked so good that seeing such a sight would probably bring tears to a grown mans eyes..

I know this is a verrryy late reply, but what if pikmin could get a fungus infection like those that kill ants?

A graveyard for the infected....now that would be eerie.

I feel that whenever Nintendo transfers a port or creates a remake, there's an underlying move that we're not seeing.

For instance, the New Play Control games may not have been a move to simply make more money from existing games, but also, maybe, to teach new comers to the company how to program for Wii. The same thing could be going on here. Maybe Nintendo is priming a new team to make more 3DS games.

As for taking out the waggle, why do you think they'll do that? The 3DS is outfitted with the same tech as the Wiimote.

This got me thinking about a 3DS game where you go around "hacking" other peoples 3DS's. But it would never work since I have yet to see anyone play a 3DS.

While the numbers are abysmal, they aren't surprising.

What is surprising is Nintendo's not learning from their mistakes. The Wii's launch was pretty piss poor, all things consider. Even further back, the DS's launch was also really very shitty. And don't get me started on the 3DS.

Nintendo has said point blank that they are working on these mistakes, but you wouldn't know unless they told you.

When I play a Playstation game I think of the buttons as jump or shoot or whatever but once the game prompts me to "press Square" then I'm fucked.  I HAVE to look down because I don't instinctively know which button is Square.  I absolutely SUCK at God of War because of that.  But I imagine a whole generation of Playstation gamers would not like changing the button names so it would make sense to keep it that way.

Two months ago....

I got the first God of War and wrote off the whole series because of the QTEs.  I cannot do that **** with the Playstation symbols.  I really don't even think in terms of buttons anyway.  The buttons quickly become "jump", "shoot" etc.  So if the game suddenly says "PUSH A!!!" I have to think about it.  It isn't "A", it's "jump".

I still feel that motion control and IR pointing still have their best days ahead of them.

And on that tangent, if Skyward Sword came out when TP did (with the M+ for that matter), I think the Wii's life cycle would have been dramatically different.

So it's a shame the PS4 wasn't more ambitious.
