What if you get to keep the game if you reach the retail price or have an opportunity to buy it with the amount you already spent deducted from the final price?

Got to go with Super Mario 64. As much as I loved SMW, 64 I never had a grin so large the first time I literally took control of a game.

General Chat / I have a pretty endearing story.
« on: March 26, 2013, 01:19:05 AM »
And would like anyone of you who likes the idea to help make it real if possible.

The story is about how screens are with us our entire life, from pre-birth to after-death. I don't have the story clear, but I want to show how one lives, grows up and develops a relationship with others, eventually marries, has kids, those kids have kids, then they die and finally their grandkids see media of themselves when they were young. So to give you an example of the first part....

Warning RUN-ON SENTENCE AHEAD.

If you can a imagine a wordless comic or something of that nature showing a picture of a sonogram of a young fetus, the parents cherishing it at home while they decide names, then the newborn pictures being shared via the internet with family and friends, then a camera filming the exploits of a young child, to a toddler watching cartoons, to a 6 year old playing with math on a tablet, then a 10 year old in a computer lab at school, to a teenager adding friends into a new cellphone, to a school dance where girls and boys are looking at their phones split across the dance floor....etc...then finally to a screen in the hands of young child sitting on a mother's lap looking at a picture of their grandparents now deceased.

I can imagine a short animation or comic or even a narrated children's book. I honestly think Pixar could run away with it.

If anyone would like to help at least build a draft of the story and illustrations, let me know.

But 1,000 $1 scratch-off tickets. LOL

Realistically probably lose half of it. Unless you keep reinvesting, then you'd lose all of it.

Two chicks.

Strange answer considering your....preference.

Drugs.

High risk. High rate on return. Probably going to have to exchange with several small buyers to make a grand as quick as possible. Not bad, but stupid. Very stupid.

If I was given a grand, and had to turn out into two....
I would start a site called "how I made a grand out of nothing, and you can too"

Then charge people to read it.

False hope = Genius. You don't even need a grand for this one. And didn't I complain about something of this kind earlier?

All on black.

I like your style. Always on black....unless it ends up being red.

Buy some broken cell phones dirt cheap, fix and sell them, easily triple your money.

Not a bad idea. Would probably take prior knowledge on which phones are the easiest to fix, which phones are in demand, and with all used product sales, which products have the highest profit margin. Possible, but not easy.

Also there is a good chance that repairing one phone is very different than repairing another.

Hahahaha

Seriously, Ian...You must have been the only one on the planet to think that! I assume most kids were like me; scarfing down cereal, spilling milk everywhere as I bounced on the couch, only taking a pause to sing "Ducktales AaaoooO!".

Avengers: EMH

Does the Wasp ever get tired of being useless and a distraction to those that are useful in about 99% of all situations?

Does a backup kicker ever get tired of receiving a superbowl ring?

A grand isn't a lot, but it's enough.

Hahaha reminds me of the time I threw ranch dressing in this chicks face. She loved it (and the ranch too). As you could tell, she deserves no respect.

On topic, gotta say those ranch doritos taco commercials are hilarious. The Spanish version of the songs are the perfect mixture of satire and cover.

It depends. Deep dish, good luck slicing that into squares. Thin crust out of a wood oven, how dare you cut it into wedges.

It's also pretty impossible for Nintendo, or any videogame company, to really be reactionary in their development cycle.  So, uh, the Wii U ain't selling as well as they would like.  Well what can they really do about that?  The games that are due for 2013 were already planned well ahead of time.  They can't just hammer out a decent game in a few months in response to the market.  What we'll see at E3, and for probably all of 2013, was already fairly planned out before the Wii U even launched.

I suppose Nintendo could show trailers for games that are in early development that aren't due for a while to build some hype of the future, but they haven't done that sort of thing in a while.  They typically don't announce anything that E3 that is not intended to be in stores prior to the next E3.

They did that with Project HAMMMERRRRRREDD at the beginning of the Wii cycle.
