TalkBack / Re: Weapon Shop de Omasse Review
« on: February 22, 2014, 11:24:17 AM »
I was excited to check it out and I did. I like it, but now my mind is just thinking about Harmoknight and wondering if it will have a deeper level of gameplay compare to Weapon Shop de Omasse.

I've been using that trick since Wild World. I think it was in the players guide, I don't recall seeing it in the New Leaf guide.

Khushrenada, you can place turnips on top of furniture and they will never rot. No matter what.

This popped up in my instacast as "Lakitu Coud Storage" and no file downloaded.

Same thing for me, also using Instacast

This is also happening on my end.

TalkBack / Re: Nintendo Unveils New Entry Level Handheld, the 2DS
« on: August 28, 2013, 04:03:18 PM »
Guess I'm still waiting for the Hi Def DS- but seriously the more I think about it the more it feels like it's a fail safe from parents who won't understand that you can disable the 3D on the 3DS already and that's it. The design reminds me of the handhelds I used to have as a kid: http://www.gamernoize.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/cole.jpg

I bought this over the weekend and enjoyed it thoroughly. I haven't bought anything off the eShop in a while so this felt well worth it. The review is spot on, everyone should play this.

TalkBack / Re: RUMOR: 3DS XL Bundles for Pokémon X and Y on the Way
« on: August 21, 2013, 08:57:24 PM »
I'd actually like to see a great Lucario design on one, but I doubt that will actually happen. Mop it up, I'm sure the games will be preinstalled on the system right? Nintendo is basically doing all of this by the numbers so the real question is what color for which bundle???

I'm glad this is coming to the 3DS, but I just keep about how GTA Chinatown Wars did and I wonder if this will be any more successful. Probably because Vblank doesn't have the same reputation as Rockstar and no one is really going to complain about graphics and other superficial elements of the game. I bought RCR for PS3, but I barely touched it so maybe a 3DS release will get more action out of me.

TalkBack / Re: 3DS System Update for StreetPass Relay Available
« on: August 06, 2013, 08:13:59 AM »
How do you get the Nintendo Zones to work. Every time I go to McDonalds my 3DS says I've entered a Nintendo Zone, but when I click the Nintendo Zone Icon it just thinks for about 5 minutes and then gives me an error. What all are they supposed to do?

The Nintendo Zone is just a crappy Internet Portal with Nintendo trivia, some eShop demos and random sports stuff. It's absolutely confusing and this new Relay system is the only thing of value it actually has ever had. Nintendo Zone is slower than dial up and will crap out on you all of the time. Nintendo should kill it and just keep the Relay system perhaps. I hope it works, I'll be sure to test it out in a few locations I think would be good for Street Pass tags.

TalkBack / Re: Musings on the New StreetPass Games
« on: August 01, 2013, 09:20:11 PM »
I'm a big fan of these games- except Flower Town even though it does seem to have the most depth out of all the games. I really really like Mii force, but I beat it very fast and I'm still working on the others. I've really come to enjoy Monster Manor the most because there are a ton of weapons and items to use and there are neat ways to earn them. Lastly Warrior's Way is cool, but it's for one who gets a ton of Street Passes. I've made the least amount of progress out of all the collection, but I still like it.
The only huge complaint I have is that it now takes a while to get through Street Pass checks and it's taking away from my Animal Crossing time in a serious way. Seriously it took me about 30 minutes to get through 7 passes I got today. I don't know what people are going to do at conventions.

I'm trying to play a short bit every night but may not open my gates. I see Pokepal added me. I added a group of people from the thread. I'll add more next chance I get.

In the middle of a promotion at my new job so my spare time got gobbled up. Hoping for things to settle down by the end of August.

The game gets more exciting the more I see expanding in it. I just wish there were more ways to get money. I dislike gathering tons of fruit and I'm growing tired of bug catching for profit.

Is there any other good way to make a good reliable income in the game?

You can always fish or sell whatever you dig up. You can also buy a lot of turnips and sell them when the prices are high, but really the best way to make money is to catch beetles at night on the island.

I haven't had a lot of time to play recently and I've got a lot of stuff in my town. It feels like I've hit a point where everything has slowed down and the next steps are just getting money to expand my house so I can furnish it. I've stopped buying turnips since my prices have been terrible for weeks. I was hoping for more variety from the T.I.Y Mart would have more variety, but they are still selling the basic tools which is just taking up space- I have better items then what they have on sale. I recently bought the players guide and there is a ton of content in the game, but waiting for it to become available is more of an endurance test than anything else.

There's a store in NYC that carries these type of figures. If I could find that OG Link... I'd lose my mind. Then I'd buy it.

Something else. I'm talking about when you Street Pass someone more than once and they say how many times you've met them. Before it was capped at 99, but it's been extended now.

Not even close to my level, man. Guess I'll just keep going to Street Pass events and whatnot.

Toad Hat and Fire Flower- I just got those, I assumed they were old hats I hadn't gotten yet.

The hats in Find Mii/FM2 are different than the hats you get via Plaza Tickets.

Really? I've gotten some hats that were clearly old that I never unlocked from Find Mii via Plaza Tickets.

So, as it stands now, you have to play Find Mii and Puzzle Swap with Miis that visit your town before you can let in more Miis. Is that still true with the new games? That's one of the things holding me back from a purchase.

This is still the case, you can get Plaza Tickets that you can trade in for hats, which essentially kills Find Mii. If that is the only thing holding you back I suggest you try one or two out, they are worth it.

These new Street Pass games are no joke (except for Flower Town). I've spent every last Play Coin and have spent more time outside trying to grab Street Passes just I could play (mostly Mii Force) again. Anyone else enjoying them as much as I am?

I just sold off my gyroids. They were in the way and I couldn't see anything constructive coming out of them so I just sold them off. I've seen a lot of houses and I've seen more NIntendo houses than anything else and it can be annoying I guess, but I set a different requirement for houses. If the score isn't around my HHA score or higher then I'm actually not going to look at it. I can guess what they have and a lot of times I'm right. A higher score simply means more variety, a complete set or a theme in multiple rooms. People who have Nintendo rooms won't actually have a very high score so I've been seeing less of them.

i think animal crossing had its streetpass functions tweaked for western audiences(now you get random homes from spotpass) but i'm not certain

Pokepal, what do you mean random houses? You mean for HHA? Because I don't think that is true (I only have houses from StreetPass, and I have not heard anyone say they have gotten any from SpotPass).

Actually This just happened to me. We have three 3DS systems and I got a Spot Pass alert on New Leaf. I checked my Street Pass and it's just the other two systems. I check my Street Pass in New Leaf and there's some dude I've never seen before.
Also checking the Spot Pass section of the Manual, it explains that items and model homes and other data will be sent through it.
