Is it over? I have no clue what's happening now. Iwata was like "Come see our booth at E3, I'll show you" and then it just went black.

My feed is going crazy- trailers are going black and I'm watching trailers from other games. This Direct is all over the place.

Bah- Mario Kart is a tired series, I would like to see much more innovation or just a new title entirely. I'd take F Zero any day.

it's called mariokart 8, james jones just burst a blood vessel  ;D

Indeed! I saw the 8 and thought the same thing. Haha

The whole stream is all jacked up, I'm going to have to watch this after it's done. Lame.

So everything is pretty good in my town, but they are selling the same tools as they were since Sunday! I've never seen this in past games, it's pretty annoying since I've been asking everyone for extras (Thanks to Fatty in Animales for the fishing rod). I unlocked Street Pass and the island today, but I have to wait until tomorrow to go visit it. Oh and I got a sweet pair of Hero's Boots!

Best Buy is giving special furniture away via Nintendo Zone. I hope it works through all Nintendo Zone portals and not just Best Buy, but we'll see what goes. Here's the link with items and dates, also there is a N-Zone locator in case you need to find one: http://www.nintendo.com/3ds/nintendozone

It's funny. I just moved this weekend and in between unpacking and organizing I'm playing a game where I just moved and I'm trying to situate myself... Ah, the wonder of life's paradoxes.

A) How do you turn on StreetPass

According to the games digital manual:

Activating Street Pass
You must register at the Happy Home Showcase located on Main Street to begin using StreetPass.

I just put in for my second expansion on my house and I was told about the Happy Home Showcase. Hopefully it gets turned on tomorrow with the remodeling because I really want to see how Street Pass is done. Also I have a new townie moving in, but I won't meet them until tomorrow.

I bought 20 turnips and found a friend with 120 price at their town and sold half. I'm keeping the other half case a higher price shows up later this week.

My tools are the same as yesterday too, shovel and fishing rod. I paid off my down payment on my house, and have already filled up a good chunk of my museum.

I would pay you the price of the rod and extra if you could let me have it. I can't really come now for it, but I will be around tonight.

My town is selling the same tools as yesterday, a Shovel and Net. If anyone needs them they can have them. I am in serious need of a Fishing Rod if anyone comes across one.

I woke up early and found a sea gull passed out on the beach, he might have been hung over. I got my first house upgrade and I'm ready for the next one.
I had a great time visiting everyone's towns yesterday. I even got to check out DJ KK routine which was really fun. I've been taking a lot of screen shots, but I noticed that when I view them in the Camera App the images don't seem so crisp.

I think I'll make a Turnip Prices thread here so we can all benefit.

That would be Awesome.

Three weeks in, my store has not ever sold me an axe.
Really? That kind of sucks, everyone really seems hard up for tools, myself included. It seems like the game is set on pacing how and when you unlock or get certain things.

I had my gate open for a while and got a few visitors, thanks for coming through! We all just got booted out and I reopened if you wanted to finish anything up here.

Also I added all visitors to my best friend's list so we could get a nice network of Turnip Prices going on amongst ourselves. I figure like this- Once a day I'll tell you my town's buying price and you can reply with your town's prices and whether you want to come and sell at my town.

If you hold the L or R buttons while in the photobooth you will get a black and white pic instead of a color one.

I went to the Nintendo World Store event and saw literally hundreds of Animal Crossing fans. The line was as long as the Mario Galaxy event they had a few years out, but everyone was really surprised about the turn out. THey had several activities to do that got you New Leaf buttons. I got two sets and even an extra KK Slider button. I bought the XL Pop-Tart Bundle and did a system transfer which deleted my original save, but I already was back up to speed by this morning. I visited DrewMG's town and scored some new fruit for my town.
This is the game I've been waiting for and the very reason I was excited for the 3DS. I think a lot of people are going to end up playing this and really enjoying it. Add me to visit my town: 1762 2808 0367 I have added everyone who posted in this thread!

I went to the Nintendo Store and while no one was allowed to tell me any actual details about the release event I was shown New Leaf running on an XL and itt looks gorgeous! They showed me the different shops, fruits and houses. I was also shown what is going on with StreetPass- there's like a section where all the characters you StreetPass hang out and you get to see inside their house where you can order some of the furniture that they have. It wasn't clear if you get anything else, but for each player there is a profile, sort of like the ProfiCards in Final Fantasy Theatrhythm. On the back of the cards are badges that players collect through different ways- it seemed like a little Achievement System. I also got to see how Best Friend communication works, you can see who is online and the messages pop up very fast so communication seems to be real smooth. Seriously- I really can't wait for this game.

I really enjoyed NSMB2 when it came out. The level design is great- you will see things happening on a Mario game that's never happened before. I remember being excited about it and I even liked the dlc levels, I didn't get all of them, but the ones I have are fun. The only thing I regret about it was buying it digitally- I wish I could just swap out the game and lend it to someone. I still get a lot of street pass for it, but since having moved on and through several other games it's sort of hard to recommend it as a must have title because I did everything I could in the game. I would say that 3D Land is the superior Mario game on the 3DS.

I'm so hyped for this game that I'm probably going to be camping outside of the Nintendo Store that weekend it comes out. I've been fighting the urge to play past iterations, but I've been absorbing all the media I can in order to gain insight without running into spoilers. I seriously can't wait.

You should camp out on launch night only to buy the game digitally.

I know someone locally who plans on getting it so they might turn me into a buyer.

I would actually love to do that. I was actually the 1st person in North America to buy the first Layton game at the Nintendo Store and at the event Nintendo Power was there taking pics of everyone and they really wanted me to take a picture with one of those huge Layton hats and I refused. A few months later some kid in a top hat is in the mag with a cheese grin. I would love for that to happen and for me to just be online downloading it from the eShop- BUT- they are going to have an event on the 8th and the game comes out on the 9th so I will just be playing a day earlier than most.
