I feel that players who snake really can't race. I wouldn't mind racing as a Boo, but I'd rather be a Koopa Troopa or a Ninji I hope there is a custom kart feature :P

I searched hard to find it in my city of all places, but I got and and after playing for a few hours I'm so glad. I'm not a Suda51 or Killer Seven fan at all, but I like the way pop culture is being smacked around by this game. This is a game that got a lot of work put into it and doesn't suck. Instant win.

I think the nongame application is good for the DS and using it to download maps and schedules of things are cool, but I think the public will just tend to ask for more as technology and interfaces are being built into each other.

It is funny how Nintendo doesn't want to explore the vast technical aspects that could be applied to the DS, like using it to make phone calls or keeping track of addresses, but through programs like this they are being faced with making those sort of networks and set ups for the system.

There's a museum in Japan that uses the DS as a guide

as well as Safeco Field

And she's your only company out over the endless ocean? Gee, no wonder you choose the fishes.

I didn't mention befriending big fish like dolphins and seals, I'm still exploring that feature and there's also a camera feature where you can capture images of underwater. Yea, the girl is a strange character, but the game isn't about her at all.

I went looking for it earlier today and I couldn't find it, I was told it was shipping today as in we'll be able to buy it tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if some random places have it today though, so be on the look out!

Why would you have purchased SF this weekend?  We knew on friday that The New Challengers was coming out today.

I didn't know it was coming out this weekend, why? Because I wanted to play, why else? Anyway there was Street Fighter Alpha for the SNES  and I think there were no more so hold on a little longer everyone!

I just got it and it's nice, sort of like a diver's Pilot Wings, but not as goal oriented. The camera is sort of strange, but easy to get used to. Since the goals aren't forced on the player I'm trying to figure why

If anyone wants to try the wifi feature here's my info: 3285-0635-2060 Send me a message and I'll add you back.

Going through the titles I saw a few that sounded interesting, but then I read "April: Quick Yoga Training from Ubisoft" and now aside from the obvious I am excited. That game is going to own my DS.

Nintendo Gaming / Super Smash Bros on The VC?
« on: January 17, 2008, 05:42:44 AM »
In response to someone's letter, this month's Nintendo Power hints at the possibility of seeing the first Smash Bros on the Virtual Console before Brawl's release. I would get it without question, but I wonder how much of what a response can merit if it isn't featured in their Virtual Console section.
What do you think of the chance of seeing Super Smash Bros on the VC? Prospective or Speculation?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Assassin's Creed for DS in Feb!
« on: January 16, 2008, 10:02:17 AM »
After reading the article about it in Nintendo Power I am not as excited as I was about this before. The controls are button based, I was hoping for something more stylus driven, but I'll still try it.

I'm interested in this because Tenchu wasn't so great for the DS and niether was Phantom Hourglass, but I think that this will play like a mixture of the two (tho I've never played Assassin's Creed at all) games together, but I don't think it will be better than Ninja Gaiden, but I think it will help this type of action, adventure, stealth slasher platform pick up on the DS which I think is lacking seriously.
I'm up for it!

Maybe, but I don't see Prince of Persia anywhere so I'll play it- whatever they want to call it. Cellphone gaming? psh, be a gamer and rock a system.

"..  A 2D side scroller would have been awesome. "

Those were my actual thoughts and sadly I think the simplicity of 2d side scrolling has been thrown out the window. Play Contra.

Alright yes, booooo- but I also feel that most can agree that Nintendo's got a slew of games that are coming out that we wouldn't get to play if Smash came out on time. I'll be playing No More Heroes, Ninja Gaiden and Dragon Quest Swords in the meantime.

I've never played it, but I liked the ads I've seen for it and it's coming for the DS and not the Wii? Odd, but okay... I think it could be a little Tenchu and Phantom Hourglass-ish, but better than both because neither were that good to play. I doubt that Assassin's Creed will be super amazing, but it could be fun.

That said, Wiiware sounds like a GREAT idea. They should have have a Wiiware title that uses the Balance Board like a hoverboard, and you race, just to test out the concept before turning it into a full fledged game.

Kairon, if those type of games were to ever be released I would get them in a heartbeat. The potential is great for the balance board, what if it were used in conjunction with games that are out now like Boxing on Wii Sports? or perhaps even wierder like a direction function for a game like Metroid or Dragon Quest Swords. If I could afford a Wiiware kit I would try to make the mediation game myself.

I am very interested and hopeful that there would be a Tai Chi game for the Balance Board, I think that if it were backed by a major endorsement it would sell great. Also I was thinking about a meditation "game" where you can perfect your posture. You can sit on the board and you can see where your weight is being placed and you can hold the wiimote in your hands that can register your hand posture and balance as well. These games can be made real simple using the Miis and selling it on the WiiWare platform seems like a great idea to me.
I'm a big geek.

Is there a place for the wrist strap? Maybe future designs will have grips, but I don't think the Wiimote should get more encouragement to be any more phallic than it already is. Maybe wear some gloves. Cool product nonetheless.
