I forgot to prediction gloat

I'd be interested in a really nice NES Cart sized sd card like format in shiny transparnet poly-acrylic shell which has gold leafed labels.

Damn no gold leaf labels. Not transparent. I wonder how long it will take Sony to just ship a game on that format.

Its not up to Chris Hemsworth, but he did say he didn't plan to go anywhere.

Now might be a good time for a War Machine movie. He really doesn't need to be just a side character. I always thought War Machine looked cooler than Iron Man as early as 5th grade. War Machine can be US military, stolen Stark, Chitauri, and Wakandan tech. What's the Tinkerer up to?

The only thing I know about She-Hulk is she is a lawyer. There was a year where all that was good was lawyer shows. I watched was Better Call Saul, Daredevil, and American Crime Story: The People vs OJ Simpson at the same time. Looking at her I'm expecting a scrappy Lawyer type. I wonder how they plan to Hulk her? Will she just become a CG lawyer hulk the whole time? This is what I think of when I think of She-hulk:

mainly because when I stopped reading comics as a main hobby was 1994. I used to collect flair cards, that was the extant of my exposure. The funny thing is, you can tell this card was made right when photoshop was getting picked up by colorist.

I just found out. RIP, RBG. Feminist icon.

Related: We’re fuuuuuuuuuuuuuked.

Johnathan Majors is ripped AF. He doesn't need to get into shape to be in Marvel movies. Might probably be all CG though...

This 4th episode of Lovecraft country was a lot better. I have to admit I wasn't paying attention that much at the beginning of the episode because I was eating enchiladas. But it got real Raiders/Goonies style. The more of that the better.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Switch 2 Speculation

Nintendo usually goes between 2 strategies. Either they release hardware that is simply a superior version of their previous hardware or they "do market disruption through withered technologies"

One thing that was lacking on the Switch that the 3ds and the Wii had was an array of cameras. We're at the point where we could have really good cameras on the next switch, much like what you would get in your cellphone. Nintendo has the capability of doing really crazy AR stuff.

Given Nintendo history. I imagine the Switch 2 will be more powerful than Switch, but it will be hard to say if it will try to stand on the same ground as the upcoming next gen systems. Those are high hopes. However, Nvidia might reward the system for helping to boost their company so much since the Switch launch. Nvidia has some great engineers and I imagine the price structure is more up to Nvidia's whims than material and labor costs.

As Ian said "I feel this makes Nintendo and Sony direct competitors with Apple."

This has to some extant always been the case. Apple has games on their phone. So, technically it's all war. I imagine the next switch will have a bunch of stupid free social apps like phones have. Nintendo actually invented a lot of those things with the Wii. The Wii came out and had a bunch of weird channels on it. When I use any device now, the system UI resembles a lot what was on the Wii and the PS3.

There is a point in technology where the Switch 2 will probably be very competitive to phones. I predict more cameras on the Switch 2 and with those a lot of what makes phones special is going to go away. The Switch 2 will seem attractive to people who want an iPhone but don't want to spend 700 dollars on one. If they include VoIP with their next video chat app then it could make phones look antiquated.

There are a number of ways Nintendo could do upgrades on a contracted plan. Nintendo could make games that operate under different power standards. You could have a basic standard, an extra standard and a super standard. Each version of the hardware would display the game differently. For those wanting to retain old hardware and still want to get more power they can either offer some sort of external upgrade. Or if nintendo were to push LAN gaming they could get multiple boxes.

The reason why this would work better for a console than say a phone actually is because with the phone you can't make up the difference in software sales. The more people they have with hardware in their homes the more people they have buying games. For instance say you have someone who is paying just 19.99 a month to have a wii u in their home and then paying $20-30 a month for their online service. Thats $50 a month for Nintendo. Nintendo could set up a rent to own type payment arrangement where it would take 17 months to buy your hardware. If you made the price per month 14.50 a month than someone could pay off their console in 2 years. There could also be a credit for new game purchases. Say you buy a game. 10% of that game purchase could go towards paying off the console.  So if you were renting to own a console and you registered 70 games you would automatically own that console. If it was 20% per game it would be 35 games.  or say you payed the rent to own price for a year and bought 18 games(under 20% deal) then you would own the console.

I'm sorry i just started working for a cable/internet/phone provider. Lol it's got me thinking of all sorts of pricing schemes and future ways to do business.

I knew it would happen eventually. Somebody would do it.

LA Noire - Great Game. It's exactly like GTA except you're a detective. I hope for a sequel. Maybe San Andreas Noire.

It's been a bad week for superhero movies. I hope he gets better with a full recovery.

The ones I like are First Class and Days of Future Past. Not too fond of the others.

plot twist Covid gives you Mutant powers.

I've been watching Lovecraft Country. It's OK, it just feels the writing is too literal and formulaic. You have this framework of Lovecraft to tell some allegory and it just seems like paint by numbers Racism X-files. I wonder which race issue and which creature they'll have next week? Is Leti's sister Ruby not going to be able to walk in through the front door of a music hall where she's performing(did they do that already? I watch too many things) while Atticus and Leti fight dagon creatures?

The first episode was really well done though. Hopefully it picks back up on the fourth episode. It's too bad they killed off Courtney B. Vance on the second episode. Jurnee Smollet is acting her ass off. I hope the directors aren't terrorizing her to get those performances out of her.

And I just looked it up. The first episode had a different director than the second two episodes. The second two episodes are directed by an X-files director named Daniel Sackheim. That's probably why the second two episodes feel procedural. I really hope it doesn't maintain a procedural format because that is what drove me away from Power Rangers and Pokémon. HBO drama shows should be serialized. Procedurals are for networks. There is a new director on the next episode and more writers. So, we'll see how that goes.

For not being anything like Apocalypse I thought Oscar Isaac did a good job. He's such a good actor.

It also didn't make sense. Superman could have just had a beard in the movie. He had a beard before. He was not really dead as much as he was in a weird stasis, where logically his hair could grow.  It would have been easier to CGI on a beard on scenes where he didn't have one. Or have him wear a beard on reshoots. It's not like Henry Cavil never had a beard in Man of Steel.

I just remembered Matt Reeves directed Let Me In, and Richard Jenkins character looked sort of like the Riddler was in The Batman trailer. It also reminds me of how dark Matt Reeves can go.

Wait, nickmitch, you don't know about the Superman Moustache?

Perm, I actually didn't have an issue with the Steppenwolf design, and I'm not sure I like the Snyder concept art.  Steppenwolf is kind of just a dude in some armor, right?  Why overly complicate that?

WB is not great at realistic humanoid CG. Certainly not as good as Disney or Sony. Making someone look human dips into the uncanny valley. Changing the character into more of a creature gets around this. Also, looks like something I would have drawn in 8th grade. A plus. It's like having one of Napoleon Dynamite's ligers as a character.

Lovecraft Country

The first episode was pretty good.

The second episode they tried to cram too much stuff in. The second episode was kind of like a bad movie made by Full Moon.

From what I understand about the Ayer cut is they did reshoots After he made his first cut. Not sure how involved in those Ayer was in those. There was a big push to try to lighten up DC and make it more like Marvel after BVS. One of the **** things about working for a corporation is you might be under contract to pretend you're happy about doing whatever they want publicly.

It's such a weird thing for Warner Bros to just change the plotlines of movies after they're basically done filming. I really want to see the Ayer cut.

Considering the last time the Riddler was in a Batman movie I was in 5th or 6th grade then great.

On the other hand. I don't think even Nintendo is going to be a single hardware platform provider in the future.

Imagine Nintendo making bank off selling Mario games on Playstation and Xbox by running their own storefront on those platforms.

Platform exclusives could mean something different in the future. Meaning you have to download the Nintendo app to play a particular game, which will most likely be Nintendo made only. But then there would be steam on consoles.

Also conversely you'll be able to play other games on Nintendo platforms. Like there might be a version of Uncharted running on Switch 2.0

Jetsons and Flinstones need more love.
