Nintendo Gaming / NES classics

Gamespot lists several classic NES games being ported to the GBA.  I know gamespot isn't the most reliable of sources, but they've already got a release date announced (June 7 2004).  They list Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong, Ice Climber, Excitebike and Super Mario Bros.  Is this information correct?  Why is no one else talking about this then?

Lately, I've been playing a lot of OoT.  It has brought up a burning question in my mind.  For years now, there have been questions about the Zelda timeline.  But when WW came out, it was finally said that each of the games featured a different Link.  If that's the case, we've got two big questions.  The first is still what the order of the timeline is.  The second, what is the real connection between all the games?  The Oracles, especially.  Hopefully, WW2 or maybe the next game will give more info on this, but in the meantime, what are some of the current theories?

I hear that this is a good game.  But what is this game?  I hear that it is a Zelda-esque game, but that's it.  Does anybody know anything else about it?  Any opinions from you guys who've got it yet?

Nintendo Gaming / Connectivity Question

Okay, here's the dilema:
I don't actually have a GBA.  I have the GBA Player.  Is there anyway I can still take advantage of the GBA/GC connectivity bonuses? For example, unlocking original Metroid on Metroid Prime with Metroid Fusion?  Obviously, using the Tingle Tuner in Wind Waker is out of the question, but what about other things?

Believe me, this is a completely pointless thread, but I'm gonna ask my question anyway.
Technically, what is a platformer?  I know a few different platforming games, but I still don't really get what one is.  It's really the only genre that I don't get.

Nintendo Gaming / Transformers Armada - Comin To The Cube??

I am now officially really excited about this game.  It's got beautiful graphics, and what seems to be a decent story.  You can play as Optimus Prime even!!!  It's gonna have all the classic Transformers you could ever want to see.  Heck, even Unicron will be in it.  (Remember him from the movie?  He was the planet-sized guy, but they said there will be another version of him in the game.)  I haven't seen any animations of the Transformations but I've heard that it looks good.  If the developers do everything the way it should be, then this could easily be a game of the year candidate.
The thing I wanna know is, has anyone heard anything about it being on any other systems?  I had heard that it was a PS2 exclusive, but a game that already has such an established fanbase should be available on each system.

I want that Zelda disk, so I tried registering my Gamecube and two of my games online, but the numbers were wrong!  Where on the GCN and the games is the number located?  I coulda sworn I had the right one...

Nintendo Gaming / Any news on next GB Zelda?

Has anybody heard anything about the next GameBoy Zelda?  I thought I heard about something called The Triforce Gods, but I think that turned out to be the Four Swords redo-thingy.  I know everybody's waiting for WW2 (myself included), but I think that the GB Zeldas were pretty sweet too.  If anybody's heard anything, give me a heads-up.

NWR Feedback / No Metroid?!?

I was kinda surprised that there is no Metroid discussion in the game-specific forums.  I mean isn't that a big enough series?  Believe me, I would start it, but I've only just started playing Metroid, so I still know like nothing about the series.  Are there really not enough Metroid fans out there to start a discussion?  That's kinda sad.  Where are all you guys?
