Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo... WAKE UP! the deku tree has bad news for you
« on: November 03, 2013, 04:14:02 AM »
Why do Nintendo keep making moves like they want me to go elsewhere? I have been a Nintendo fan for about 25 years, but I'm starting to give up! All I require is one new attempt at a new IP every 18 months and 2 or 3 updates on existing franchises each year(actual new and full fat versions not HD or other 'updates') This means all Nintendo would have to do is make 3 or 4 quality games per year on each platform. This seems reasonable to me for a large and cash rich company, so why all the crap? software sells consoles and Nintendo's consoles ain't selling, so stop trying to pull the wool N we are not idiots! I would like to point out that i do like HD remakes etc but they don't constitute a proper game release and STOP ignoring the fans we DO want a new Metroid and we DO want an F Zero!

This kind of activity mentioned above has pushed me into buying a PS3 and playing more PC games and I feel a bit abandoned by Nintendo but i am starting to enjoy my GTA V and the new Tomb raider and such like. I am even enjoying the newer rayman releases as much as some of the classic Nintendo platformers. My plea is to demand Nintendo smarten up and do the right thing before more guys like me are forced to go elsewhere!!

Nintendo Gaming / Damn that stupid WiiU tablet.
« on: August 15, 2012, 01:31:09 PM »
I believe Nintendo invented a great method of gaming control when they introduced the world to the wiimote and here we are getting hyped about an analog stick based controller? has the world gone mad? Side-on Nes style, tilt and motion, and amazing pointer usage in shooters, this piece of kit when accepted for what it can do instead of what it can't do is an amazing advance on gaming. If you take a classic like Resident evil 4 and simply add the pointer it improves it or take a game like Mercury and add tilt it improves it. I want to know who wants a tablet, have we become fashion victims following apple in a direction that is not healthy for gaming?

Nintendo Gaming / Skyward sword - perfect controls?
« on: November 11, 2011, 01:00:51 PM »
Now that skyward sword is out there with amazing reviews complementing its amazing, nay PERFECT controls, is it really wise to ditch the wiimote for a Tablet/analog thingy for WiiU? could this be a backwards step? Bare in mind the WiiU is gonna support multiple tablets so common sense would suggest the end of the now vindicated Wiimote as was the 'support' for gamecube pads on Wii.

Nintendo Gaming / Goodbye my beloved Wiimote Wii will miss U
« on: October 25, 2011, 03:09:16 PM »
Question: If you were an XBOX or PS3 gamer would the Wii U tempt you away from your chosen console?
Answer: Erm no, why should it, it's no more powerful than what i have and its graphics and space marine shooters and not mario i wan't.

Question: If you are a Wii gamer then i assume it is the next generation motion controls that drew you to Wii(and the obvious IP's i accept that) So you want a Wii U?
Answer: Erm Yea and no, Yea 'cos i like Mario,Zelda  etc BUT no on the other hand because I love my Wii's next gen controller and iv'e just seen what it is capable of with the Skyward Sword game! also being into Nintendos games the HD isn't a massive issue.

I'm concerned the Wiimote is much like the Gamecube controller that went before, compatable with the new hardware but never really to be taken too seriously again! and the replacement? An Ipad'alike tablet form dual analog controller! NOT for me at all!!! It seems Nintendo are playing it safe. Even tho it looks like a new idea it isn't. It is simply everything that is popular roled into one and this jack of all trades master of none worries me!!!

Please don't let this woeful controller replace our now perfect motion plus wiimotes

Another worry is just who are they trying to sell to? PS360 gamers won't want it? and as for the rest of us? who knows if they force this controller on us?
