Nintendo Gaming / Quick question regarding USB connector

I just spent quite a while looking for this but can't seem to find it anywhere.

Can a normal computer hook-up to the nintendo wi-fi USB connector (does it create a normal hot-spot)?

Also, after reading the interview with buffalo, I'm confused. Is it possible to use it with something other than XP (such as W2K Pro)?

General Gaming / Buying Playstation parts?

I just got a N64, NES and Playstation (the original, not PS1 or Playstation 2). Everything works except that the Playstation is missing the video cable and the hub is about to break. I live in southern California, where should I buy from? Most of the time this wouldn't be a problem except that I have never fixed a Playstation. Thanks for the help!

Nintendo Gaming / Is 3-D gaming possible?

I was thinking about how there was that new 3-D movie coming out (which I do NOT plan on seeing). And I was wondering, why don't you see 3-D games? I remember those 3-D glasses that you could plug into your computer and convert existing games into 3-D. I hear they were terrible! But, if I game was designed from the start to be 3-D, couldn't it work quite well? They could even include an option to turn off the 3-D. Sorry if I am over looking a game like this. But I have never heard of any modern games doing this.

We have a Dell laptop that we use to watch DVDs on trips. But I want to be able to play my gamecube on the road with it. Is there a way to hook up the AV cables (I think they are AV) to a laptop to use its screen? For details on the computer just ask. Thanks for the help!

How do you take a direct feed from the video on the gamecube and put it on the computer? I have been trying to figure out how people take screenshots. I know that some people just take a picture of there TV, but there has to be a bettter way! Thanks for your time!

Does the gamecube have any memory built in for saved games? Or should I not bring home a GC without a memory card. This may sound like a stupid question to you hard core GC owners, But I am really new to this! Thanks for your help!

Nintendo Gaming / How long is the prime deal going?

So far I have only found 2 sites that have the "buy a GC and get Metroid Prime free" deal (gamestop.com and wal-mart.com). And both of them don't say how long the deal will last. I am wondering if I should wait till my birthday (july) or if I should try to save my money and buy a GC ASAP. Thanks for the help!

What is wrong with a GC if it has a "disc reading error"? I have seen this problem many times, but have no idea what is wrong. Most of the people say that it either comes up with an error message saying it can not read the disk, or it plays for awhile, but soon freezes. What is wrong? Thanks for your help!

I've seen these things on Ebay claiming that you can get a GC for $25. I know that this can't be real, so what word games are they playing? Is it a real GC? Is it legal? I know I must sound stupid even bringing something like this up, but I'm just wondering.

I got an Xbox with 6 games and an extra controller for free! But I really don't care for Xbox very much. Bieng 13, I can't play many of the games. Where is the best place to trade my Xbox in for a GC (A real place, no online trading)? I'm hoping that I can get atleast the GC and 5 games for my bundle, or is this just not going to happen? Everything is still in GREAT shape. Thanks for your help!

I have an Xbox and a GBA and am thinking about getting a GC, mainly for metroid prime . Problem is that money is very tight for me. Other than metroid, what is there? Are there any ways to cut corners with prices? At gamestop the GC used is only $20 off of new! Are there any other places to get it cheap. Can you give me some good resons to put my money into one of these? Thanks for the help!
