black would be nice, or  even indigo or the mustard color they have done in standard controllers.

anything besides grey and platnium would be nice.

Nintendo Gaming / Nintendo patten on online console play?

This is the 1st I have heard of Nintendo going full force into online play.
Not only are they taking the plunge but it sounds as if they are making it so that other consoles might not be able to follow.

This is not anything to do with the DS this is general Nintendo discussion and not intended to be about the next system or the DS but Nintendo and if they have truly got a paten for online play or not.

There is no reason to lock the possible discussion of such a topic without full facts disproving or proving this in any way shape or form. Not unless  some mod here actual has something against the discussion of Nintendo that we should know about?
is this still a discussion forum or not?

I'd like to hear more about this, true or false and all's opinions on it either way.

Nintendo Gaming / 4 swords question for gamecube

i just bought it but am thinking of returning it before opening it.

can you play  it  2 player one with a normal gamecube control and player 2  with a gameboy?

from the back  of the box it looks like the only way you can use a gamecube controller at all is if you play only single player and if you choose to play multiplayer then you have to use all gameboys.

if this is the case i want to return it cause i bought it to play with  my son  and am not about to go buy a second gameboy just to play it.

anyone know the scoop?

so i am still very early in the game i just beat revolver and i am told to contact her from the code off the package. but i do not have a package, no one gave me a package and i can not find any package anywhere on the game at all!  

anyone have any clue as to what package they are referring to.

anyone got the release date, i think it's this month but can not recall.

this game looks like it will be a blast, especially if you ever  liked spiderman at all.

i'm anxious to see how the new camera works out as well as that you can now go down and actually explore the city GTA style from what i hear?

I got this for my son when it 1st came out and  as far as I know he has unlocked everyone.
Well the other day at  school some kid told him there was  a character he had yet to unlock.

So know he is very determined to try and get this  one open.

Personally I think that the kid who told him you could unlock  mew  was referring to mew two but am not sure so I come to all you hoping that we could put together a factual list of ALL unlock able characters on the game.

ok, hopefully this is coming soon, i know i am without cube fr a week or two but  this is on my list.
i personally enjoyed the 1st one , i know  a lot of people did not but i  thought it was the best spider man game made to date and from the looks of the next one it is even better from what i have seen.

anyone have any updates on it's progress so far?

General Gaming / 2 cubes in less then 6 months? why me?

Well I had my original  cube since launch and about 5-6 months ago it died on me, all of a sudden the disc just would no longer spin. So I replaced it with a new one.
Well the one I replaced it with died tonight.

I am so frustrated  right now. Anyone know if Nintendo will fix something like this. I no longer have the receipt and really hate if they are making the cubes shotty like the Playstation 2 just to up there sales numbers as I am sort a forced to buy a new one seeing I have over a freggin 100 games I no longer can play now.


Has anyone else had this problem? up till now I was die hard Nintendo promoter but  I am rally just in a super bad mood over this right now.

Any suggestions?? contact info?? similar stories??

General Chat / registering my stuff on my nintendo?

so i signed up an account and registered 2  games 1 cube and one sp.

it showed  nothing to  confirm this registration, nothing of the zelda disk as well.

so i tried to register them again and no luck, it then said those had already been registered.
so has  this been  a reoccuring issue we all dealt with and it will work even though it seems like it did not?

Nintendo Gaming / billboards over town

so yesterday i was driving to work and  what do i see in the distance.  a billboard from quite a ways caught my eye.
on 1st inspection it looked as if it was the band kiss live ( a photo)
as i drove close i notice   a big bright green yoshi head stuck on top of what i think was gene simmons head. with the slogan  which one are you, or something like that.

it was a smaller billboard and i forget the specifics but the fact that it was there at all sorta brought a smile to my face as i finished the rest of the frive to work.

has anyone else seen these or  anything else that is a bit different for nintendo in the ad department?

Nintendo Gaming / the deal with the new star wars?

anyone else get this, so far it seems ok but not yet to what i was hoping for. seems  like the on foot levels needed a little more polish time,  but as always the space levels  seem  to look pretty nice.

one thing tripping me out is i think the second or maybe 3rd level after you crash land in the sand,  i get a wall of sand that comes up  by the r5 unit, can not get through it but if i take a couple steps back it goes down, seems like the strangest glitch  and has kept me from going any further.

anyway, whoever got the game what  do you think so far??

Nintendo Gaming / no disc error

i have one of the 1st batches of cubes and today  it  stopped working on me.

seems it no longer spins the disc,  instead it just clicks and nothing spins at all.

i have read stories in the past on here where people had  great luck with nintendo replacing or fixing their product. so what i need to know is a # to call  so i can get this started.

guess i'll be stuck playing just the GBA and Xbox in the meantime.

strangest thing is now i have tried it a few more times and  it started working again?
then it stopped, then it started. i can only assume this is a sign of it going out completely in the near future.

thanks for any responses and similar stories and the results of that situation with yourself.

i thought it was due out ages ago but i have not seen it anywhere.

also anyone know if they plan to drop resident evil 3 down from 39 ever seeing it's just a port?

is it just me or are there more pop up windows on the forum now then back in the old ezboard days?

at least then if you were a gold member you would not get any pop ups.

isn;t it poosible to just ad the ads into the page somewhere and get rid of all the damn pop ups?
they seem to be getting more and more.

the staff must know how horribly annoyingthey are to the readers.

reminds me of a porn site with the amount of pop ups i've been getting lately, lol.


anyone else getting all these?

incorperate ad space into the layout of the site and try and do away with most if not all of the pop ups please....

General Gaming / i took the plunge X...

i went out and picked up a used Xbox today.
you'd think the price would be lower then it is seeing that a new one is lower now.

anyway i got it and 3 games, silent hill 2, odd world, and marrowind.

those 3 games seem pretty decent so far, i got a feeling i will enjoy silent hill quite a bit.

i then went next door and borrowed, Halo, Max Payne, and Metal gear 2.

i am very impressed with the AI in Halo, Metal Gear has some looooooong damn movies before you can even attempt gameplay, and  max seems like it will be a fun shoot em up bullet time game.

i am considering fatel frame, splinter cell, the hulk, and a few others.

anyone have any suggestions of things i should look into, hoping to bring the library of games up to 10-20 in the next  couple weeks if i can.

oh and  i was shocked at how damn heavy the system really is, i always just thought those were just jokes but  it turns out it is a pretty heavy console compared to what i have owned till now.

seems to be due out june 20th.
a Real time strategy game.

i am wondering if it might be based more off advance wars combined with gamecube graphics .

i have not heard much if anything on this at all but figured with as many RTS fans out there someone might be able to chime in with some more info.

did anyone see this at E3? any 1st impressions?

i just saw a couple outstanding screen shots but have heard nothing  solid yet about this game.
is it due out with the next movie or has that not even been announced.

i think the still shots look incredably clean and if it's as fun as the 1st cubed spiderman then  it will go on my  list of  to many games i already want.

has anyone  any hard facts on this game yet?

so i picked this up tonight and gotta say it's a blast having a portable version of galaga dig dug and ms. pac man.

one question though, i could have sworn there was also  an updated version of these graphics in this package but i could be confusing that with another compilation of old games?
anyone know for sure?

picked it up for 10 dollars  tonight along with driver 2.

so far i am kicking myself in the ass for both of these choices. 30 seconds into eye of the beholder i turned it off.
if anyone out there has put  any time into this game and knows if it actually becomes better then please tell me.
i hate that it is not animated in any way shape or form. still shot after still shot blows.

i am considering  taking it back if  they will accept it, damn it i knew i should have gone to gamestop, i would have had a 7 day return then.  rrrgggghhhh

driver is weak as well but   not nearly as bad as the other.

should have just grabbed namco museum. rrrgggghhhh

Nintendo Gaming / sonic advance 2

Picked this up the other day for my son, gotta say it brought back memories of the genesis versions.
Seems  a very good 2d side scrolling game. If you like sonic then it is worth the buy .

one thing though is the chaos emeralds are a bitch to get.
Any hints or clues, I  am trying to help unlock the garden so he can hook up to the cube with no luck yet.

Nintendo Gaming / Strategy games???

I am curious what else is out  there for the GBA along these lines?


there is an old game that was out in the arcades years ago that would be perfect for the GBA.
I forget the name , it might have been fortress or something like that.
basically you had a castle/base and you were given pieces to construct a wall around your bases. Then  an army of ships and other vehicles  would fire upon your walls, you then rebuilt.
This continued till you screwed up and  built  a bad defense.


Anyway, I'd love to hear of other games besides advance wars 2 which are out or will be coming out along these lines .
