Title: My luck F*cking sucks...

So i worked all day today....

And in broad daylight some jack ass broke into my car and took freaking everything! On top of my 5 channel amp and two 12 inch subs, my backpack full of gamecube fun was in there. I'm sooo pissed off I could scream....

My copy of ToS... GONE
My copy of Pokemon Col. and Box GONE
Prince of Persia... GONE
Smash Bros.... GONE
Two Wavebirds... GONE
Two Game Link Cables... GONE
Four Memory Cards... GONE

On those memory cards were virtually all of my game saves... The only cards i didn't lose were my japanese card and original 59... Of all of my games, I only have saves for things like Luigi's Mansion and Monkey ball...

Hours and Hours of Smash bros. records....
Over 500 pokemon....
My initial 12 hours in ToS....
All my Mario Kart Scores...
All my F-Zero scores...
etc...
etc....
etc.....
GONE!

Argh argh argh...
Sorry bout this, I had to vent somewhere... :-/

If you stole them, kindly tell me your name so I can have your ass arrested AFTER I beat the living sh*t out of you.

Try searching your local game shops that take trade-ins, some of there are unscrupulous and take stolen goods. If you can find one doing it, involve the Police. Especially if the memcards aren't deleted, there might be information identifying you as the original owner. Stores are required to store the information about sellers, so you could track down the thief that way.

Post by: joeamis on July 26, 2004, 10:27:34 PM: sorry to hear that, very unfortunate indeed. as long as we hear this we might as well try to help. i suspect your friend or someone else at work, are there any people that could've overheard you talking about games you had that you were going to play at your friends? note to everyone: be careful where you play the bass in your car loud. (not trying to be funny, just the case, atleast around where i live). i'd call the police and file a report if you haven't already (it's always best to get them to come to the actual scene or where (& soon) it took place). they might not do much, but you have a report filed still, and if they catch someone in the act if luck swings back your way it could be the same guy. and if your insurance covers any of it the report will help tons there too.

That's what I figure. It's still sexist though. Odds are men drive more than women and thus get into more accidents. If it was the other way around and women had to pay more feminists would freak and that policy would never stick. I'm quite offended that an insurance company can legally assume that I have a higher risk of getting in an accident solely because I have a penis. Hell let's take more statistics and base insurance costs on religion, skin colour, and sexual orientation as well.

Ian, you just cant argue with the facts. With the penis comes great responsibility, most men (myself included) cannot handle the burden of such responsibility. I know my penis has been the sole cause of many of my misfortunes.

I think insurance companies did the fair thing and raised the prices of women's insurance to meet that of men's. Got to love those egalitarian insurance companies...
EDIT: I know prices are still divided based on age and experience though.

Just for reference, it depends on what province you live in. For example, here in Ontario, males do pay more for insurance. However in provinces where the auto insurance is run by the province (Alberta, if I remember correctly), men pay the same as women.

I see. Here in BC the auto insurance is run by the province (ICBC) so that's why I've never heard of this crap.

Post by: nitsu niflheim on July 28, 2004, 10:43:15 AM: It's changing here in the states as women are becoming more and more responsible for accidents and stuff, in the next few years the different in rates between male and female will start to not be a difference anymore, and insurance companies will have to base their prices/rates on your record and location to where you live.
