Title: Wishlist Discussion
Post by: kirby_killer_dedede on June 30, 2004, 01:10:52 PM
I know it's a while till Christmas, the estimated arrival time of the DS, but my sister (she's in love with the concept of Pac-Pix, even though she's not much of a gamer) and I have already begun planning. You see, we're not Christian, so Christmas is simply a way for us to get a bit of loot out of our parents. So they say about fifty smackeroonies each for Christmas - $100 (if we combine) right there. Now, neither of our birthdays is for a while (both in June) after the DS's release, and we've already spent all our birthday money, so we can't factor that in.
Here're our balances if we factor in the Christmas loot (we don't get allowance, so I doubt we'll get much more money by DS-time): ME - $250 HER - $210
So we're deciding to combine our money. That's a total of $410. We each want a DS, so estimating a DS costs about $150, we're down to $110. So here is my wishlist:
2 DS - 150 each (we each want one) MP:Hunters - 30 Pac-Pix - 30 New Super Mario Bros - 30 Zelda DS (if out by then) - 30 2 PictoChat - 15 each (we each want one; you know, to chat with each other) 2 Carrying Case - 10 each (we each want one)
Keep in mind all this is based on estimation. I know many of you are counting on PictoChat coming bundled with the DS, so if we're lucky, we'll have a 30 dollar head-start on the Revolution, eh? And if for some reason we need more money than my estimations call for, we've decided to skip on Mario and Zelda (actually, she decided...she can be quite...er..."persuasive," if you can call it that). Overall, I think my estimations will get us through for a while. Well, I'd like to hear what you think of my wishlist, and I'd love to hear about y'alls, so reply quick!

I think I would wait until some more solid details on the DS launch lineup are revealed before making a "wishlist". We don't really even have any indication that the DS will launch this year aside from Nintendo's say-so.
Oh and Christians get loot for Christmas too.

Sorry if that offended you, Ian, but I was only trying to say that Christians look at it like a real religious time. You know; the stuff about the time to come together and stuff. And man, I'm all for diversity of religion, but all Christmas is to me is a school-free time you get stuff. And I'm totally okay with that
