Title: Who else thinks that Odama sounds like a cool game?
Post by: anubis6789 on May 15, 2004, 12:27:36 PM
I just think the concept of a RTS/Pinball game is a real original concept full of potential. From what I have heard it is being made by the guys who did Seaman, which means it will probably be full of wierdness. Sounds like my type of game. The only problem I have with it is that it might not come out in NA.

This game sure sounds quirky, hopefully it'll turn out very very cool.

Who's it being made by?
Yeah, it does look very interesting, though. I like quirky.

Odama is being made by Vivarium, the people that made Seaman.

Yes. Many, many times. Didn't manage to beat it though.

I couldn't beat it either, when I tried it. The ladder guys get swept away too quickly when they reached the top. It also seemed like the enemy army was spawning too quickly.
It's being made by Yoot Saito. I'm not entirely sure what all he's done, but I do know that he made Yoot's Tower.
I do agree on it being very original. Probably the most original idea I saw on the showfloor.

Odama seems like a very, very interesting mix on pinball and strategy...And the use of the Konga drums sounds very interesting as well...I hope to see more of this soon...
(And yes it's exclusive, because Ninty is publishing it)

Odama is one of those games that I'm just not sure about. I did enjoy Caution:Seaman...
Its just damned odd... the ancient Japan period with the illogical addition reminds me a little of a game I had for the Sega CD... it was also set in Warring States Japan and was a shooter game where you played a giant mecha.

Odama sounds like the type of game my brother would think of if he and I had a "think of the weirdest idea for a game" contest after staying up too late drinking fermented Minute Maid fruit punch.

I like pinball as well as weird games so I'm looking forward to this one. I hope it comes out in the USA. I'd buy it.

Assuming it's not impossibly hard, I'll definitely buy this game. I'm all about the weird games. That and the alcohol abuse.
