Title: New Metroid Prime 2: Echoes trailer

Check it out here.

In the vid you will notice that the black character is called Dark Samus. I'm sure this is Metroid Prime in its new form and is the creature hunting Samus. Also you should notice the Metroid Prime has the abillity to meld with other enemies. I'm thinking this will increase each enemies strength and intelligence.

One thing that bugs me about this is that the concept is an awlful lot like Metroid Fusion. Still Retro will more than likely pull the concept off better.

Awsome.... looks sweeet. but im still wondering how the multiplayer is going to turn out.

This game is gonna rock. Light and Dark worlds? pure brilliance what better way for them to introdue new play mechanics and make the game a whole lot more interesting, I cant wait for this game.

One of the icons for the visors in the trailer looked new. It looked like sound waves. Perhaps it will be used to detect movement in this dark world. Makes sense seeing as the game is called echoes.

I know it's a little early to speculate but..
I wonder if Metroids would act the opposite in the alternate Dark World. Instead of sucking energy to support themselves, maybe they would give off life? Maybe Dark Samus was made by the Space Pirates to harvest alternate Metroids? The environments look much more varied in that trailer compared to MP, I can't wait.

Funny, I haven't even thought about the Metroids until I read your post. Part of me wouldn't be surprised if they weren't in this game. They're going to run out of ways to bring them back eventually.

By the way, Dark Samus is Metroid Prime in its new form. I guess technically there will be at least one Metroid in this game then.

Samus can only survive in pools of something in the dark world, probably that means that phazon is the lifesaver for dark samus...

Ahh, another Metroid to keep me excited.  This one looks like it plays quite well, just like Prime 1.  Can't wait to get my hands on it.

Argh...That's the crappy trailer.

There was a much longer and better trailer at the conference. If you want to see it go to Gamespot, it's in the Metroid Prime 2 videos page.

I saw the trailer where dark samus runs, jumps against a wall, and flies towards Samus very speedy like. The screw attack looks amazing and multiplayer looks very fun. Just like the trailer showed I hope there are more people like beings just to get a glimps of.  Maybe a few survivors here and there that die when you finally reach them, its cool to see other people in a metroid game. In an interview it was said to have more cut scenes and the like, and the ones in the preview looked very promising. Can't wait, school's out, going home.
