Title: Grand Theft Auto Games Coming to GameCube

Incase everybody doesn't know  one of  the baddest series of Rockstar Games will be Comming to the Cube. Now those PS2 and Xbox people cant talk crap abou the gamecube. Hopefully they will continue this awesome idea further in the future for us Cube Fans

best case scenario:  they will be released for gamecube and no one will buy them because they've already played them on pc/ps2/xbox.  rockstar will have "sufficient" reason to never release another game on a nintendo console.  yea.

I hate sounding like a fanboy, but I really don't see the GTA series as something so absolutely amazing that I couldn't live without it...I like the freedom, but that's about it... (Oh, and I do own the game)

I guess this guy has inside sources.  Anyway, a GTA game will be on GBA, but that's it for now. And watch out Bill, Mouse Clicker gets pretty angry when you even start to question the GTA series.

Eh, I don't remember ever bitching about GTA- I like the games, it'd be nice if they were on the Gamecube, although it doesn't make much difference to me personally since I own a PS2.  

So ever since Bloodworth made the new thread suddenly I bitch about everything now?

GTA on GameCube would only be worth the effort if they started with the new one, GTA: San Andreas, and left all the past ones alone.  I seriously doubt GTA is coming (and who really cares?), but if they do like past 3rd parties and release really late ports on the GC then wonder why they don't sell, then I think they were stupid to bother wasting theirs and my time.

I was talking about this GTA thread where a lot of PGCer's were agreeing that GTA was overrated, and you, Mouse Clicker, said that all the thread amounted to was a "GTA bash" and nothing more, even though we listed legimate problems with the game, and most of us actually owned the game. You seemed to be ultra-defensive in that thread, even though most of us said the game was good, but flawed. Surprisingly, the thread did not turn into a flame-war, and it was pretty interesting. But anyway, that's what I was talking about. I thought when Bill mentioned his dislike for the game, I thought you would have responded.

I agree with that.  The time to release GTA3 and Vice City on the Cube was when the Xbox got them.  It's now far too late for those titles to make a difference.  They can still release them I suppose but the "damage" of not having those titles has already been done.  The double pack would only be worthwhile as a budget title and released alongside a Cube version of San Andreas to give Cube owners the chance to own all three of the next-gen GTA games.

In my opnion those "legitimate" reasons were mostly built up out of spite- I wasn't bitching about anything, I honestly was tired of hearing Nintendo fans bashing the living hell out of GTA for little reason more than it wasn't on the Gamecube (similar to how I'm tired of hearing people bash Final Fantasy). If you don't want me to bitch about something, don't bring it up at all. If you do bring it up, don't complain when I bitch.

Anyway, we're off topic, so let's leave it at that.

Anyway, back on topic, it would be pretty cool to have Rockstar's support again on GameCube. I enjoyed Smuggler's Run:Warzones a lot, and I haven't heard any news of a new one, on any system. I might rent San Andreas if it came out for the GameCube magically, but at least with Rockstar, they advertise a lot and they don't seem to wait too long to port their games, like Manhunt, to other systems, so they would be an important third-party for the GameCube. As opposed to Konami, who doesn't do much for the development of Twin Snakes, and doesn't bother to advertise it themselves in the U.S., and will still wonder why it did not sell well.

If they did, they better come out as bargain titles (or a 2-for-1 thing like they did on the Xbox). I might buy them for $19.99 each, but I sure wouldn't pay any more than that (maybe $30 for Vice City)

Bandwagoning on GTA hate is old and obnoxious! It's not a Nintendo game, therefore it must be overrated! Gruahebfkjl.
