Get it repaired or buy a new one.

I think someone needs to sticky a troubleshooting thread to the GCN discussion. Or people could use the Troubleshooting discussion, but that's obviously too hard. ^_^

um well it seems you do have a predicament indeed.  You can try looking around the internet but the best place would be to call nintendo and tell them what happened.

Hmm, well, it does sound like a big problem. My advice. Do not try and fix it yourself. I tried that with my old PSX and it worked for a while...then there was sparks...smoke...and a really close call on a Street Fighter disc. No, fixing it yourself just isn't a good idea. Call Nintendo...OR...take it back and be like "I bought this and it doesn't work."            ... um ...               Actually, if you don't have a reciept that could be a problem...just call Nintendo.

I think other people need to play attention to the "YOU ARE NOT A MODERATOR" post.

As for the original post. Call Nintendo, see what they can do for you.

The same thing happened to me, my GameCube fell on the floor from quite a hight, we rang Nintendo, and they said we could send it in to them for $50AU (Australian dollar) for a quote. Instead, we explained the symptoms, and they said it was possible that it would cost $200AU to fix. Well, I just went out and bought a new GameCube for $149AU.

You might have to buy a new system.............

I really hope you got the deal for the free Zelda Collector's disc!

No, It was before the promotion started, and only just!!! I was really angry too!

I've had to resort to cutting barcodes from my games, and sending them to Nintendo.

The way Nintendo Australia has handled the Zelda Promotion for existing GameCube owners is absolutely stupid, if only they used the system Nintendo America used..... Nintendo Australia really suck! But, anyhow that's a different issue......

Oh, well, at least I'm getting the free Zelda disc... even though I've had to cut up two of my GC game boxes....

Just fix your cube with duct tape and say oh look decorations hey maybe if you wana be in the cool crowd hollow our your broken cube and make a cool use out of it. Or use the duct tape to make your cube a hat out of duct tape and rejoyce.
