Title: SPOnG Confirms Zelda, Animal Crosing, Mario Tennis, Mario RPG, Metroid 2
Post by: kirby_killer_dedede on March 08, 2004, 11:16:38 AM
A new report at GCCafe (credit to SPOnG) confirms:
- Nintendo has no plans to show N5 at E3 2K4 (this has been known for a while)
- A new Animal Crossing (which has been hinted at for a long while as the entryway to Nintendo's online plan) will be unvelied in May
- Mario Tennis GC (which Nintendo Dream recently reported as "near completed") will also be shown at E3
- Paper Mario GC (which was confirmed by IGN some months back) is set to be shown for the first time
- Metroid Prime 2 (of which an eleven-second trailer was shown at E3 2K3) will once again appear; hopefully in playable form
- Wind Waker 2 (which was also confirmed last year) will be shown in some form
- A showing of Mario 128 is still currently RUMORED
I have no idea about the credibility of this information, but I'm going by it. They're not the only ones who have stated these very things (check my post in GC Discussion; Bloodworth, feel free to move that here).

"spong has confirmed that it has never been right about a single thing."
So wait. Does that mean it's not correct about not being right about a single thing? That would mean they ARE right but then this statement would be wrong. But if they're always wrong... AHHHH!

Good job, Spong, for "confirming" everything we already know...Of course, that's the only way they can be right...

And some how, some way, they'll still end up wrong.........
"The latest story in the news, Nintendo recently announced that Spong is wrong even if they're right."

Paper Mario= happiness. WOW. Spong=lies :sad; Therefore Paper Mario is really GTA: Mushroom Kingdom a secret title being codeveloped by Nintendo and Rockstar.

If the next Animal Crossing is online, Nintendo's got my $50 (or whatver they're charging). 2-player co-op would own as well.

co-op animal crossing? my mind can't even begin to fathom how that would work. exactly what goal would you be cooperating for?

well the cool thing about animal crossingh if it were online is that it makes pefect sense for free online play....simply if you were running your town you could have it as a server, and then all other people have to do is visit your town via the trainstation(which would be a peer finder). There would be no need for online fees because it would only need simple freind finding software like gamespy....so you could go to the trainstation...pick out a town from a broshure and then book a train to somones village...trade with them your home made designs...items...fruits...perhaps they'll ad something that lets you design furniture or something.

Spong is about as reliable as a biro attatched to a thermostat being used to clean Superman's Nasal cavity.

W/E. I just seriously hope AC goes online; IMO, that's gonna be the spotlight of E3, WW2 and MP2 right behind it. I just have a question; if AC goes online, do you guys think there should be one huge massive town where everyone in the world lives (if technologically possible), or several towns people can travel to via online?

As did I. Spong isn't a very reliable source for anything. I'll wait until E3 to see exactly what Nintendo and the others will be showing.

What I don't like is how it seems there will be no suprises from Nintendo. there are so many rumors and stuff that I can't really think of a game that would really suprise me.

I would be surprised if Nintendo didn't have something to surprise us with. After all, WW was pretty surprising, wasn't it?

Too Human in playable form, or having a Kid Icarus playable would be very surprising. Plus theres 'Game Zero', and another Zoonami project as well. Then we have the Konami/SK rumored second collaberation. A new Square game. And the most surprising of all, the new Donkey Kong. I think theres a ton of potential surprises.

I never forgot about the DS, but we already know about it. If I didn't know about the DS then I would be suprised. With the DS I plan on being wowed not suprised. I would be suprised if they show Too Human espesically since its supposedly being pushed onto the next system.
I guess there is some potential for some great suprises but there could have been a lot more, like Paper Mario or DS, I would have prefered an announcement of these things at E3.

Which is why I think there are a lot of games we don't know about. Nintendo surely wouldn't release info on all of their upcoming games before E3 . Unless we have a repeat of last year, which by all accounts was hideous on all fronts.

Pah, I don't even need surprises...Just give me some decent footage of Wind Waker 2, Metroid Prime 2, Star Fox, and Fire Emblem, and I'm set... ^_^

True give us some great games to look at and play with and I'll be happy but but give us a suprise and I'll be happier. I really enjoy suprises from Nintendo. One of the reasons I didn't like last years E3 was because there were no suprises, that and not many games to look forward too but you get the point. It'll spice things up a bit, put Microsoft and Sony on the spot to try and do something better.

Animal Crossing Online? I hope that SPOnG is right for once...I most likely doubt it. If it does come out, I am most likely getting it. Animal Crossing is such an addicting game.
(It seems to me that everyone with Angelfire avatars are now getting those messages instead)
