Title: Golden Sun password help

I bought the lost age used so I do not know much about whats in the instruction booklet. Anyways I just beat Golden Sun last night, and wanted to continue the adventure with the Lost Age.
I tried to transfer my password, and it will not work! I have tried to get gold to work several times and have checked to make sure it is correct(i have 2 GBA's and no link cable which is how I know its correct)
can someone help or am i destined to try the silver(I got bronze to work though)

It's been a while, but from what I recall, you need to get all the Djinn in the first game to be able to play through Gold in Lost Age...Someone please correct me if I'm wrong...

I have all the djinn in Golden Sun, and I am pretty sure I have triggered all the events. I can not even get silver to load
