And gains "multi-player happiness"!

Picking up on an interview given by Dr. Wai Yen, Lik-Sang.com is reporting that the recently released iQue player is possibly set to see release outside of China.

Dr. Yen, former vice president of Silicon Graphics and ArtX, apparently refused to be drawn on further details, but it would make perfect sense for Nintendo to consider transferring the iQue player to other piracy-troubled territories such as Russia.

Additionally, iQue owners will also be glad to hear of the impending iQue Family Package. Containing a multi-player adapter, cabling, and an additonal joypad, the Family Package should bring a tear to the eye of current iQue owners wishfully looking at the multi-player options in titles such as Mario Kart and Goldeneye...

Its pretty hard to word this, so bear with me. Nintendo wants to enter the Chinese market LEGALLY, since apparently piracy is rampant. That's  the fact.  And instead of foolishy trying to eliminate it completely, they are making it cost effective, and legit at the same time. With piracy, quality control is not guranteed. With the Nintendo name on it, its got be good!

Nintendo so far has no intention to bring this to the major territories, so you're right that this wouldn't make much profit here. Consider this an initial investment in a BIG market (Remember China has the world's population; naturally big corporations are anxious to sell their goods to that  potential costumer base.)

Yay! I may yet again own OOT and MM! And Goldeneye and Perfect Dark! Or I could get off my lazy butt and look for the missing cables for the N64...

If you still have the power cable, you can use the GCN A/V cables for your N64.  I'm assuming you're missing the power cable, but just in case, that'd good info to know.

All the Nintendo consoles have used the same "multi-out" A/V cables from Super NES through GameCube.  You can mix and match them freely; they're all the exact same cables.  Don't try that with the AC adapters though.

Errr, the GC's manual has a big warning "Do not use with A/V cables from previous consoles".

I've switched around my N64, SNES, and GC cables many times.  I don't know which is which anymore.

Plus Nintendo Power once said that they were all the same so I trusted them.  I don't know........does it have to do with what region you're in? (just a guess)
