Title: Persistent/Multi-Massive Online RPGs
Post by: Draygaia on February 13, 2004, 01:53:45 PM
Does anyone have any reccomendations for Persistent/Multi-Massive Online RPGs?

These are the games I have my eye on.

Everquest II - Sequel to the most popular P/MMORPG.

Middle-Earth Online - The only thing that really caught my eye was that it was made by Turbine.  I'm also a huge fan of Tolkien.

Dungeons and Dragons Classic - Its D&D and made also by Turbine.  I love a lot of games related to Wizards of the Coast or Forgotten Realms.  Baldur's Gate II was just awesome.

Ragnarok - The only reviews I have been able to trust was reviews by readers.  Should I trust them?

World of Warcraft - Blizzard has never done this to my knowledge until now.  But this is like the first game where you truly play as an Orc and Troll rather than a Elf and Dwarf and I love the Orc and Troll.

Final Fantasy XI Online-All I know is that I have been loving FF series for a long time.  I've beaten FFIV, FFVI, FFVII, and FFIX.  IX is my favorite.  Its just so awesome.

I'm sorry my last two threads sucked so bad that you guys didn't even bother to post or look at.  *roars*

In the next few years, the MMORPG scene will explode. I can't really comment on the commercial scene too much, but here are two currently free ones you might like to check out: Vendetta, and Planeshift.

World+dog is making MMOs, I'm calling it a goldrush. Only one or two of them will make a profit, a few more might break even and the rest will die away for good.
