some final fantasy chrystal chronicles game on...

yep.......no really, if you're doing a report your not off to a good start. not only do you have to come here to help, but you can't even specify what you need help on. All you say id that you're doing a report. GREAT START.

book designer Architecture/landscape photographer
process: choose the career in design from one onthe list above or another you may know sbout. Research your report with at least 3 sources of information. If you use thei nternet, be sure it is a reputable source. E-mail some designers for information. Take pictues off the internet to use as examples in your report. Write down a list of your resources of information. some questions you will want to answer:
What is the best wat to get started in this profession?
What kind of work will you be doing?(give examples)
Are there any drawbacks to the profession
What draws you to this profession?
How has or will technology affect the way people work?
Do you need a college degree?

For designers, start writing design documents. Split them into three parts, roughy: Concept (a few paragraphs outlining the very basics of the game and it's platform, audience etc.); Why people would want to play the game (and why it keep them interested); and a script (which is what the game is, more specific details about mechanics, levels, storylines, etc.). Then maybe post them on the net and get a few people to help you (Sourceforge is a good start) or if you're feeling confident, send them to a publisher.
If you are a modeller, make sure you show your potential employer your work with a low polygon count as well as your most detailed renders.
Programmers, composers, sound technitions, and artists can just apply with a portfolio for a job at a studio as with any other job. And as with any other job, the your most valuable asset wil be whatever previous experience you have; working on non-commercial projects before trying to enter the industry will be a great help to you.
