Title: Play Metroid in a bathing suit
Post by: yellowfellow on February 07, 2004, 07:55:22 PM
i believe someone, somewhere posted a question pertaining to the code which allows you to play as Samus without the suit in the original Metroid. Since i can't find the posting, i figure this is the most appropriate place to reply. The code is:

JUSTIN BAILEY
------ ------ (this bottom line is completely hyphens)

FYI (in regards to Metroid Zero Mission):
this also works in Metroid Zero Mission and i think Metroid Prime

It doesn't work in either Metroid: Zero Mission or Metroid Prime because neither game uses password system- they both use save rooms.

Actually, in Zero Mission, you won't have to worry about using a password for "bailey-ness"

i'm talking about the original Metroid emulations found in each games not the actual games themselves

the original Metroid will also be in Metroid: Zero Mission, and it will use both password and in game cartridge saving.  But then again, what Bill said applies too.

Maybe he was thinking of Super Metroid.  Beat the game a certain time and you got Samus Aran's nature given candy.
