Title: Roadkill returning Error!
Post by: K-mart Shopper on January 08, 2004, 02:22:12 AM
Hey guys!
I recently purchased Roadkill and have been having some problems with it. Namely, in the second level "Blister Canyon".. The way it goes is, the music begins skipping and backtracking.. the first time it did this about 4 or 5 times and pulled out of it, then the last time returned a bluescreen saying Error! (about an hour into the game) and to go look at the gamecube manual or something...
Now I was just playing it again and the music started skipping about 15 minutes into it, and bam, blue screen of ERROR!
I'm not positive what could be causing this, because the disk is clean! Could my GameCube be dying??? Nobody else (although Im having trouble finding others) seems to be having any problems with this game... It returned an error one time after I pressed the Reset button on the GameCube, but I just did it again to test it and it rebooted fine..
I'm pretty clueless, Blister Canyon is as far as I've gotten into the game.. the first level is fine.. perhaps the problem is getting worse?
Any ideas welcome!
EDIT: Also, it only appears to be this game... So mebbe it isn't the Cube.

ubes have an inbuilt "crap game detector", which causes the system to fail to prevent the user from exacting revenge upon developers for bad games. This mechanism is also know as "very sloppy port" and only affects bad games. (J/K)

Return it, rent a new one to see if its only your version, or throw it in the trash.

Well, I sent the game back to the publisher about three weeks ago, and they found a problem with the disc. I should be getting the new one sometime this week
