Title: About Epona from OOT

I'm not quite sure but I think I once read something about why the creators of OOT chose to name the horse Epona and they said that it was like that for no particular reason, it just sounded good. Well I have actually found the word Epona here: Origin of the name Epona. It seems to me that some guy in the R&D team that made OOT put that name on purpose and the creators don't know anything about it. What do you guys/gals think?

Wow,  that's a pretty cool find!

That must be why they named her like that, it's pretty sweet.

Now I definetlly want her to show up in the next Zelda game.  They should bring her back and expand on her character and say something like, " she carries the courage of her past owner" or something like that.  That's awesome!

I actually looked it up when the game first came out...Ever since, I have looked up the meaning of characters' names to see if there was a reason for it being so... ^_^

Yeah, I found this unintentionally once in a book I was reading, not long after it came out.  I thought it was pretty cool. . . I don't know if the makers knew about it or not, but still cool.

The one name that I've researched recently is "Collet," which can be taken as "victory" or "church warden."  The second meaning is particularly interesting, since Collet is....er...well it's a spoiler of sorts...

Now, Bill, how could you ALREADY know the plot of that game? I mean where's the fun in spoiling it for yourself? Unless you imported it. In which case I hate you for getting it before me.
