Title: When will we see a new Pilotwings game?
Post by: diargasm on November 13, 2003, 07:26:59 PM
The n64 version was one my favorite games for n64, and I have not heard anything about a new version for the gamecube. Anyone have any idea when or if it will come out?

2 things:
1) The new version was officially announced to be being made by Factor 5
2) The new game won't appear until 2005, on Nintendo's next console.

I thought Nintendo's next console was going to launch with the PS3/Xbox2 in 2006

Pilotwings has not been "announced" in any form whatsoever. Some places claim to have confirmed that Factor 5 is working on it, but both companies have kept their mouth shut in regards to the general public.

Pilotwings is being made for the N5, Nintendo's next console.
we should get both the new console and the new Pilotwings by fall of 2006, or possibily as soon as late 2005.

Pilotwings is being made by Nokia and 3DO. It will launch on the Virtual Boy, CD-i and 32X last year in a few weeks. It will feature graphics and sound. Something that hasn't ever been done before. The landscapes have all been based on real locations like Middle Earth and Wonder Land. It took Nokia 47 years to take photos of the real locations using their camera phones. Pilotwings will also include a bonus cartridge for the Atari 2600 featuring Bezerk 2 and Frogger 56.
I know this because a friend of mine's friend who has a friend who knows some guy at a school who knows a guy at EB, and he's really smart and works for Activision.
