Title: ORIGINAL GAMEBOY NEEDED

But it does have a contrast control!!! Plus it is awesome. But it is large, and is a battery killer.(if you play alot )

I don't know why you need one, but just get a new GBC, since they are cheap in the US(as opposed to Canada).

is the original gameboy really that hard to find in good condition? mine's still in really good shape. buttons work perfectly, screen is as good as it was when i got it in 1992 (or thereabouts), it never has a problem reading cartridges.

my only question would be, why would someone want to get the original gameboy? you can get a new gameboy color for as little as $50, and you can get the gba for between $70 and $100 (depending on model). i didn't see much market for the original, unless it was for a collector or a drawf.

Sorry though I don't plan on parting with it.

For the same reason I won't part with my original GB, nostalgia &/or collectableness.
