Post by: zeth_er on October 26, 2003, 04:43:13 PM
OK, ive heard you use a broadband adaptor, and ive heard you use a special cable that goes in the slot above where the broadband adaptor goes??  So i ask you humble people, how do you connect the Gamecubes to play 8player MKD???

I believe you need a router or hub to play in the same house.  (Router if you want to play online with Warp Pipe)

All you need otherwise is cat 5 wire... which is standard ethernet cable.

You need a standard CAT5 (Twisted Pair) cable for each Cube and a hub (switch)/router. The broadband adapter is a network card, you just plug your cable into it, the other end into ANY (non-uplink) port of your hub and you're set. You can just look up how LANs work with PCs, just instead of PCs you connect Cubes to the net.
If you have only two cubes you can use a crossover cable instead of two TP-cables + a hub, the crossover cable connects directly between both Cubes.

Keep this in either the Mario Kart thread above or the warp pipe thread.
