Title: McDonald's Monopoly trading place
Post by: Berto2K on October 25, 2003, 09:26:30 PM
The best way to win at this is to trade with people.  I have a few friends who have won doing this.  The idea is to post what pieces you have and hopefully help eachother out.  I have the following:

Connecticut Avenue
Oriental Avenue

States Avenue
St. Charles Place

Reading Railroad
Pennsylvania Railroad
B & O Railroad (x2)

Pacific Avenue

New York Avenue

Atlantic Aveue

Park Place

You eat at Mikky Deez a too much. By too much I mean more than me. Because I haven't eaten there in years and do not plan on doing so.

Most of mine are pasted to the board, but I have a few extras.  They are:

Park Place
St. Charles Place
Indiana Avenue
New York Avenue

Berto: I could use Oriental, but how is this going to work?  Do we just want hold all of our trades and then mail them out at once?

I don't think that my McDonalds is doing this, although I usually just pick up a burger or two, and not much else.  But this is a really good idea, and I would definately participate.

I have all mine on board cept for double ones, but they are removeable.

As far as the trading goes, I guess it would just be up to the people involved as to when they wanna do it.  Cause if someone makes one trade, they may have missed out on one that would have benefitted them more later on.

They been playing commercials for it on tv for the last week or so.  If they had this going during the summer, I would have won something.  I ate there almost every day and lost 10 pounds!

I did this when McDonald's first started this years ago, but I don't eat at McDonalds often enough to actually play the game and actually win anything.  I used to get free pieces in the Sunday papers, but I don't see any free pieces anymore.

"You can read it in the Sunday papers!"  Haha, Joe Jackson kicks ass...

My sister eats fast food a lot, so I'll ask her if she wants to participate...

Actually I haven't seen the Monopoly promotion in Canada in years.  Ever since the whole Monopoly game fraud a few years back I haven't seen it.  Instead we've gotten a few knock offs.  Right now my local McDonalds have this fry game contest where you win stuff my watching pull up tabs on fries.  I think it's rigged because I only ever win stupid coffee or McGriddles and medium fries NEVER win.

Of course even if this promotion was going on in Canada I couldn't trade Canadian pieces with American ones.

You know what really pisses me off is when I order a large or super sized coke or fry and they don't give you the cup with the game pieces on it. The whole reason why ordered large or super sized was to get the game pieces you jackasses. Anyway I haven't eaten at McDonalds in a long ass time until the last couple of weeks and I have to say they've gotten a lot better. I still wouldn't say their burgers are great but at least it taste like meat now and it's pretty cheap compared to a lot of places. Oh and I have a friend that used to work at Burger King with me and he's a manager at McDonalds now so he gives me a nice little hook up.
