Title: Help with VGA Adapter

Hi Guys,
Just got a vga adapter so i can play my GC on my 19"monitor, but i think the picture quality is crap!! can i make any adjustments, or is there some tips on how to get a great picture, very new to the console scene, any help would be appreciated.
