Post by: Grey Ninja on October 20, 2003, 07:00:13 PM: Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit (notice the absence of a 2?) for PC. (it's very different from the PSX version). IMO, it's the best racing game I ever played. Perfect balance of speed, realism, and fun, and very challenging. Graphics are also quite reasonable.

Speedy, fun, and easy to get into.

None of that slow Gran Turismo or Project Gotham crap. Going at 200km/h and it still feels like your grandma can get out and run faster.

It pushed about 4 polygons on screen (Woah ho ho, watch out, Xbox!), and you could explode if you drove on the grass for too long. Mega chuggy replays showed the explosion from an exciting angle, and the game would pretty much self destruct at times. Awesome game.

F-Zero GX is a great game, Mario Kart promises to be, and I own Kirby Air Ride, and it's also tons of fun (the city mode is extremely addictive!). I've only played it with two players, so four players is probably even better. Depends on whether you want a serious or hard one, or a fun easy one.
