Title: xbox gets the finger from sega?

looks like they dropped OutRun2 and Virtua Cop 3. i dont think it has been confirmed yet, but if true would be suprising because both games run on the xbox chihiro crap.

Yeah, but to package it will a gun, it would cost a lot of money...That's why they decided not to...

its actually quite refreshing to see a different console to get the shaft instead of us (and by us i mean gcn) stick them on gcn sega ^_^

It's about time. I heard Sega was getting less sales on XBox games that what they projected they would have had on GC or PS2. As much as I did love getting Shenmue II for 20 bux and JGRF for less than 10 on my Xbox, Sega would seriously make more money elsewhere.

I'm not into searching the forums right now... but does anybody know what's going on with Perfect Dark and what systems it's gonna be on and when and where and why???

Its been pushed back to Xbox 2.  How surprising.

I doubt it is pushed back to Xbox 2.. they probably just waiting until Halo 2/Half Life 2 hype dies down.

Yeah xbox 2 isn't even been annouced officially, so they certainly wouldn't start announcing games coming about before that.

well with the new rate at which consoles are replaced by the next generation....and add that in with rares abysmal dev time....i would calculate that it wont be out til xbox 3....however, m$ wont get that far(it will go 3rd party by then), so it will be out on pc or one of the other next gen consoles that m$ is deving for winthin the next 6 years.

MS won't go 3rd party. They'll redraw to the PC, forcing people to use Windows to play games.

Accually KDR Microsoft usually ports things to Macs under "Macsoft", so no they wont force ppl using Windows, and Windows is the most common OS being packed in every PC built, so Microsoft isnt forcing ppl into using Windows since Windows is the standard in PCs.

Sega gave Xbox some of it's biggest guns and they sold a combined total of about 97 copies worldwise. I doubt any amount of money will convince Sega to give the Xbox the big-name games it gave Microsoft around launch time.

Actually, besides CT, the other series never sold that well.  Shenmue (US) sales were pretty grim, Panzer Dragoon, Jet Set Radio, ect all sold pretty crappy on their native systems (Saturn/DC).

And you shouldn't talk about numbers since SoA (Eternal Aradia Japan), SMB2, or even Billy Hatcher--didn't sell worth beans (hell BH sold less than 10K it's opening week in japan--that's pretty poor for a sega title.

Besides the sports, VF4 and EV now are the only ones that seem to sell well.

Actually I'm not.  Only Sonic Adventure 2 Battle sold well.  Neither the Remake of Sonic Adventure or the Sonic Collection sold well (50Kish last I seen).

Don't forget about Super Monkey Ball, I think it did 400,000, which is phenominal on word of mouth alone, ie no TV spots, unlike the second, but I'm not sure how it did.

It's funny, if Sega based all their support on where their games, as a whole, sold the best (Not even including F-Zero), they would be supporting Nintendo the most.
