Title: Doshin the Giant (Bad News)

I don't know if any of you heard this, but anyway, I was wondering where Doshin the Giant was. It was supposed to come to the United States, so I-emailed Nintendo of America to ask them where it was. This is what a representative said:

   Hello,

We no longer plan to release The Doshin the Giant title on the Nintendo
GameCube.  Nintendo and its licensee companies are able to produce only
a limited number of titles, and we currently have more great game
titles than we can develop.  When it comes time to pick which titles will
actually be made, we choose those that will provide the best
entertainment value to the most people.

For information on new or upcoming games, go to www.nintendo.com and
open the "Game List."  Select the system and other sort criteria, and
then select "Go." From here, you can click on the title of a game to find
out all the information that we currently have available on it. If the
information you are looking for is not yet available, please keep
checking back. When there is new information to share on announced games or
other upcoming products, our web site is the best official source!  

Remember, any posted release dates are estimates and subject to change.  
When it gets close to a product's estimated release date, you may want
to check with your local retailers to see when it may be available in
your area.

I'm extremely disappointed in Nintendo. They need all the games they can get for GameCube and I heard there was a European version with English. It looks like I'll have to import the game.

I don't think it was ever scheduled to be released in North America. Europe and Australia got it a whil ago, but they never actually planned on releasing it here (although now this is confirmation that they won't be). If you really want to play it, you can pick up a Freeloader and import the PAL version.

wait a sec- we dont have goshin down in australia its only in europe and japan

If you decide to import it to the US try ebay, that's what I did.  The PAL version runs just fine with the freeloader disc.

it was said along time ago that it was gonna come to US but i never heard anything else
hell i forgot about it till you reminded me
it was on n64 in japan also wasnt it?

It's what we got instead of Animal Crossing. I guess that will never be released in Europe...

yeah.. we got doshin allright, its sitting on retail shelves next to the SNES Final Fantasy's, Chronontrigger, Mario RPG and Ikaruga, come on aussies lets go shopping! *gets hit in the head with an apple of reason* owww now i have to face stupid reality
